NASCAR Weekly Racing

The outside groove was the name of the game for Jacob “Rowdy” Burns on Saturday night at Seekonk Speedway. Before he scored his first career Pro Stock win, Burns took down the victory in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series Late Model 30-lap main event.

Following the action opening day, all four NASCAR divisions are ready to battle - with some drivers looking to keep their strong start to the season going and others looking to turn their fortune around from their week one finish. 

Cavallaro scored career win number 66 in the first race of the season, holding off the charges of defending champion Rick Martin and Tim Bolger Jr. to capture the victory.

Kicking off the 2025 Helger’s Sportsman season at Seekonk Speedway, Serydynski picked up right where he left off - in Victory Lane.

LeBrun took the lead on the restart on lap eight, and although he had some fierce challengers behind, he was able to escape while others battled. Opening a championship defense in Victory Lane is a great start to the season.

Vinnie Arrenegado finished second seven times during the 2024 season, winning the Rookie of the Year, but failing to capture his first career Pro Stock win. On Sunday, the opener of the Seekonk Speedway season ended all of that talk. 

Seekonk Speedway’s 80th anniversary season of short-track racing in Massachusetts is here. The Action Track of the East will open the campaign on Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4, with two different days of excitement for fans. 

Entering the new year, Estrella is going to be a favorite - but so are the other three - along with others. The Pro Stock field has over 20 competitive cars registered to compete, some full-time, some part-time. 

The speed will definitely be there for LeBrun, who has shown to be able to win in multiple divisions at Seekonk - including the Mini Cups, Legends Cars and Late Models.  But, who will be among his top challengers?

This is only a taste of a busy Sportsman field - one that is sure to see some first-time winners and some thrilling action on the track.
