There’s nothing quite like the excitement of a rookie season — the nerves, the learning curve, and that first taste of victory under the lights. For the 2026 season, that journey just got even better at Seekonk Speedway, as Columbus Energies proudly returns as the official sponsor of the Speedway’s Rookie of the Year Program.

Seekonk Speedway, in a partnership with North East Short Track Network, (NESTN) announced today NASCAR Saturday events will stream live in 2026. 

“Our dedicated competitors deserve this,” David Alburn, Competition Director at Seekonk Speedway, said. “We understand it takes hard work ,dedication and many resources to supply funds to race weekly, racing hard on the track from May into the end of September, and in the chase for the championship.

Seekonk Speedway officials announced today the track event schedule for the 81st season of short-track racing in 2026.

Buckle up, because the East Coast Towing Spectator Drags are roaring back into Seekonk Speedway for 2026 — and this schedule is flat-out AWESOME. Ten events. Five Thrill Shows. One epic season of head-to-head, street-legal racing you won’t want to miss.

Everett’s Auto Parts, based in Brockton, MA, is returning to Seekonk Speedway in a big way again for the 2026 season as they celebrate their 75th anniversary.   

The Tour will compete in the Firecracker 150 presented by Bethesda Leadership Group, celebrating Independence Day a few days early. It will be the second appearance of the Whelen Modified Tour at Seekonk for 2026 - also joining the J&R Precast 150 on Saturday, May 16.

For the third consecutive year, J&R Precast, located in Berkley, Massachusetts, has signed as the title sponsor of a NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event at Seekonk Speedway in 2026. The J&R Precast 150 featuring the stars and cars of NASCAR’s Modifieds will return to the Action Track of the East on Saturday, May 16 for this special event.

MONACO MODIFIEDS RETURNING TO SEEKONK FOR TWO 2025 DATES

The stars and cars of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will visit Seekonk Speedway twice for the 2026 season. Announced today, the Whelen Modified Tour will compete at the third-mile on Saturday, May 30 for the J&R Precast 150 and Wednesday, July 1 for the Firecracker 150 during Mid Week Madness.

For the first time in the now 80-year history of Seekonk Speedway, the Action Track of the East has a nine-time drivers champion. David Darling added to his legacy even further in 2025, advancing into the Pro Stock Final Four in the Sunoco Drive For The Cup, and coming out on top on the final night of the season to rocket back to the head table.

Charlie Rose has been racing at Seekonk Speedway for a long, long time. Finally, in 2025, the veteran driver parked in Victory Lane on the final night of the race season, and captured the Late Model championship in the Sunoco Drive For The Cup in the process.

Adam Pettey may not have had the car to beat for the entire season, but with multiple wins and consistency, Pettey made his way into the Sunoco Drive For The Cup in 2025 looking to win two straight Sportsman titles. In the final race of the year, Pettey took his No. 57 to the front of the field quickly, and held off all challengers to become a two-time Sportsman champion.

The road to becoming a Seekonk Speedway champion for Jake Vanada started many years ago. After over a decade of trying, racing in multiple different divisions, Vanada was finally on top at Seekonk Speedway in 2025.
