Josh Parsons wasn’t even sure he was going to be racing for the 2026 Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars season, but when he rolled out on the opening Fast Friday night, the defending champion found himself right back up front.

Richie Johnson won the Sport 4 championship last season at Seekonk Speedway, and decided it was time to make the move up to the Pure Stocks for the new year. After one race, it looks like he is going to be a force to be reckoned with.

After capturing his first career win after many years of trying at the end of 2025, Zacarias Kelley wasted little time getting back to the winner’s circle. Opening the new season, Kelley came out on top of the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaw feature after 15 laps to carry the checkered flag.

Arthur Meack captured multiple Sport 4 wins during the 2025 season at Seekonk Speedway, contending for the championship right down to the final night. To open the 2026 campaign, Meack was carrying the checkered flag on opening night.

After making his Seekonk Speedway debut last year, Mason Goodale and his brother Wyatt returned to the Action Track of the East Friday night to open the 2026 campaign in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits. Planning to run a part-time schedule, Mason left with the checkered flag and the trophy.

For the first time in the new year, Seekonk Speedway will hit the track for two straight days of racing competition this weekend. On Friday, May 29, the Fast Friday season begins for six divisions, while NASCAR Saturday returns for round three on Saturday, May 30

New for 2026, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will visit Seekonk Speedway twice in the same year, for the first time in the history of the Action Track of the East.

Raising Cane’swill be the major backer behind Fan Appreciation Night, which includes the annual Pit Party, on Saturday, August 22. This event will also serve as the final round of the regular season ahead of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup for the NASCAR Saturday Pro Stocks, Late Models, Sportsman and Sport Trucks. It will help set the Final Four drivers heading to the final four weeks to battle for the championship.

Seekonk Speedway officials announced today a revised format for the 2026 Sunoco Drive For The Cup championship playoffs. The new format continues to emphasize that every single lap, from race one until the checkered flag, matters more than ever.
