Seekonk Speedway officials announced today a revised format for the 2026 Sunoco Drive For The Cup championship playoffs. The new format continues to emphasize that every single lap, from race one until the checkered flag, matters more than ever. The 2026 playoff format will include “The Final Four” in each one of Seekonk Speedway’s divisions, who will compete for the championship over the final four weeks of Fast Friday and NASCAR Saturday. 

There’s nothing quite like the excitement of a rookie season — the nerves, the learning curve, and that first taste of victory under the lights. For the 2026 season, that journey just got even better at Seekonk Speedway, as Columbus Energies proudly returns as the official sponsor of the Speedway’s Rookie of the Year Program.

Announced earlier in the offseason, Seekonk Speedway has introduced the One Way Recycling Crown Vic Cruisers as a weekly racing division on Fast Friday in 2026.

Are you ready for the roar of Fast Friday’s in 2026? Seekonk’s growing Friday night program will return for the new season - with 15 action-packed events with the addition of a NEW division to the weekly slate!

Everett’s Auto Parts, based in Brockton, MA, is returning to Seekonk Speedway in a big way again for the 2026 season as they celebrate their 75th anniversary.   

Josh Parsons has been racing in the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars for a long, long time. Basically since the inception of the division, Parsons has been chasing checkered flags, scoring podium finishes and looking to somehow seal the season-long divisional championship.

Entering the 2025 season at Seekonk Speedway, Matt Talbot was on the list of many drivers with experience in the Pure Stock division to watch. Talbot entered the year looking to visit Victory Lane and try to get down to the final race of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup with a chance to win it. 

Long known for his success in Seekonk Speedway’s Thrill Show events, Richie Johnson has been tearing the track up on Fast Friday the last two seasons. This year, Johnson did it again in the Sport 4 division - capturing the championship in the Sunoco Drive For The Cup, his first career track title in the No. 8.

The Solomito name has long been known for success in short-track racing in the Northeast, specifically in the New York area at Riverhead Raceway. In 2025, the name was further etched into the history of short-track racing, this time in Massachusetts, as Landon Solomito had a breakout year in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandit division.

Vincent Sarro entered the 2025 season at Seekonk Speedway looking to capture his first career win, continue to gain consistency and be there at the end with a shot at the championship. After five months of battling on the track on Fast Friday, Sarro accomplished many of his goals - and even exceeded some of them.

In the championship fight, it was decided by the race for second. Matt Talbot held off a hard charge from defending champion Brent Robidoux, and Talbot earned the 2025 Pure Stock championship.

When the Final Four was determined in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws, it was a toss-up on who would win the title. All four were deserving champions, all showing their talent throughout the year. After 15 laps in the final race of the season, it was Vincent Sarro who was celebrating not only the feature win, but also the 2025 Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaw championship.

For the seventh time in 2025, Landon Solomito was carrying the checkered flag on Friday night at Seekonk Speedway. The driver of the No. 66 jumped out front quickly from his pole position and never looked back, rocking to the win and also capturing the championship for the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits in the process.
