$2,000 TO WIN LEGENDS CARS SPECIAL, BOSTON LOUIE SEYMOUR MEMORIAL ON TRACK THIS WEEKEND AT SEEKONK SPEEDWAY

SEEKONK, Mass. — As the month of July comes to a close, Seekonk Speedway will ignite the heat of the summer again this weekend with two days of action-packed racing headlined by major events on July 25 and 26. On Fast Friday, the Nick Lascuola Racing Summer Showdown will take place for the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars - a 30-lap contest worth $2,000 to win, along with the other four Fast Friday divisions.

On NASCAR Saturday, the NEMA Midgets and NEMA Lites make their only appearance of the season to the Action Track of the East for high-speed winged racing in the Boston Louie Seymour Memorial Classic. The NASCAR Saturday card also includes a 40-lap Pro Stock race and a 30-lap Late Model showdown, with the Sportsman and Trucks off for the week, along with an appearance by the New England Antique Racers.

Fast Friday racing begins at 7 p.m., while NASCAR Saturday action goes green at 6 p.m.

The Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars will be racing for a massive purse in the $2,000 to win, 30-lap main event. Through six events for them this season, Jacob Burns has four feature wins, including last week. Burns has been joined by his teammate, Josh Parsons, and Chase Silvia with trophies as the season hits the halfway mark. But, there are many others who would love to add their first victory of the season to the books in the special event. Brenden LaBelle has been inside the top-five in all but one race, while names like Mason Tessier, Ryan Vanasse Jr., and Richie Helger Jr. have come on lately with speed and top-five runs. The major event will be the finale of the night on Fast Friday and is expected to draw a large field of cars.

In the Helger’s Pure Stocks, coming off his third win of the season, Brent Robidoux, the defending champion, has been impressive again in 2025. He’s been joined by Danny Massa, Mike Henriques, Jared Cordeira and Ethan Souza in Victory Lane. Heading for another 25-lap contest this week, the Pure Stocks will battle it out with some other competitors looking to grab their first checkered flag of the year. Matt Talbot sits fourth in the championship battle and has been consistent of late, with Rookie of the Year contenders Zachary Keith, Crystal Murray and Bryson Robidoux also showing speed at times. Peter Bleau has also been in the mix weekly.

The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits have three different winners so far as we hit the end of the month of July. Jace Chaber won the first three events of the year, but since then, it’s been Landon Solomito winning twice and Landon Heim also parking in Victory Lane. Last week, in a first-time appearance, Grayson Day captured the checkered flag. The Bandit division may produce another first-time winner this week, as Carl Satterlund Jr and Brook Meyer have been inching closer and closer to the trophy, along with Elias Dib. The Bandits are back this Friday, July 25, for 15 laps.

In the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws, the story has been similar to the Bandits, with many first-time winners. As of the end of race night on July 18, the top-five drivers in the championship standings have all scored their first career win this season - Jordan Duquette, Allyha DeSomma, Mason Silva, Vincent Sarro and David Bernier. Also joining them on that list as first-time winners was Luka Dib, while Mike Hanafin added another Outlaw win to his resume. In seven Bandolero Outlaw races, there have been seven different winners. Will a name like Ryder Aguiar, Brady Connors, Nathan Zimmerman or Bro Jordan make it eight for eight?

The Sport 4 division saw another first-time winner last week in Daniel Hayes. As Hayes picked up the win, he also pushed himself into the championship battle, entering the top-six as the Sunoco Drive For The Cup draws closer. Now, Richie Johnson has two wins, Arthur Meack has two, while Samantha Sleboda and Hayes have also been on top, along with part-time runner AJ Manuel. The second most consistent driver of the season, behind Johnson, has been Jacob Budzyna. Back on the podium last week, the driver of the No. 01 is inching closer and closer to adding his name to the list of first-time winners. The Sport 4 division will be back this week for 25 fast laps of short-track racing.

On NASCAR Saturday, the Pro Stocks return to the track for a 40-lap contest. After a few straight weeks of long-distance events, this one will feel like a sprint. Nick Lascuola finally added his name to the list as a first-time Pro Stock winner last time out, winning the 80th Anniversary Series special. Lascuola had to hold off David Darling and Jacob Burns, along with Bobby Pelland III, to do it. Pelland, who is second to Burns by just one point in the championship standings heading for the stretch run to decide the Sunoco Drive For The Cup playoff contenders, has shown increased speed the last two weeks, and looks due for a feature win. Perhaps the surprise of the year so far has been Vinnie Arrenegado, who won his first career race on opening day, but has been a bit off since. Will he gain back his hot streak and get back to Victory Lane this week? Or will someone like Mark Jenison, defending champion Dylan Estrella, or a name like Colbey Fournier or Mike Brightman end up on top?

Late Model racing has been impressive again this season and this week, they are back for 30 laps more of action. Charlie Rose added yet another win to his credit last week, holding off the hard charges of Andrew Gomes, Richie Murray, Chase Belcher and others over the 30 laps. Young driver Ryan Vanasse Jr. led many laps and gave Rose a run for his money in the early stages of the second half of the most recent contest. As the division prepares for battle this time around, keep your eyes on Gomes, Murray and Mark Jenison, along with David Lougee, as these drivers look to park in Victory Lane for the first time in 2025. There are also many others will be in the mix before it is all set and done.

The NEMA Midgets and NEMA Lites are in town this week for their first and only visit of the season to the Action Track of the East. These high-speed winged warriors will compete in the Boston Louie Seymour Memorial special event, with 50 laps on tap for the NEMA Lites and 29 for the NEMA Midgets. Look for names like Randy Cabral, Paul Scally and Avery Stoehr to be major contenders when it comes to the NEMA Midgets special. In the NEMA Lites, keep your eyes on Kyle Valeri, Mikey Pernesiglio, Tiana Kibbe and former Little 500 winner Jake Trainor to all be contenders.

The NEAR Antique Racers will also join the Saturday night card, giving the fans a look back in time.
