In the early 1940s, even before Seekonk Speedway was built, Skid Sorterup spent time with D. Anthony Venditti. Together, with Rusty Rushton, Anthony made his dream a reality. Anthony would use them both for a sounding board, but more importantly, they were by his side each step of the way, When the speedway was opened in 1946, Skid made sure he was there to support his friend. He competed briefly, but it was as a car owner that he found more success. When the speedway transitioned from the open cockpit midgets to the jalopies of the early 50’s, Skid was running his car with drivers such as Don Hall behind the wheel. Fords were at the forefront, and his was one of the quickest around the ¼ oval. But he wanted more. The Fords at the time were running a single front axle beam. Skid had an idea. He built a Ford coach with an independent front suspension. After a couple of races, and some adjustments and tweaks, he found his coach among the best cars. He was the first to try the independent front suspension when everyone else was utilizing the single front axle setup. It was that type of innovation, and his close ties with D Anthony, that helped set him apart from his peers. A mechanic by trade, his innovations and ideas over the years made him one of the early pioneers of the sport outside of the cockpit. His devotion to the sport and the speedway made his name legendary at Seekonk. On Saturday, September 21st, we will honor the legendary Skid Sorterup and induct him onto the Seekonk Speedway Wall of Fame.

SEEKONK, Mass. — It’s time to crown some champions. Seekonk Speedway will kick-off the Sunoco Drive For The Cup this weekend, September 6-7, with both Fast Friday and NASCAR Saturday divisions beginning their true chase towards the championship. There are four events remaining for both nights of action, including this weekend. NASCAR Saturday also will be the annual First Responders Night at the races this weekend. All First Responders, Police, Fire and EMS receive complimentary admission as a thank you for your service to the community. Simply present your ID to the ticket windows to receive your complimentary admission. This offer is valid for General Admission tickets only on September 7, 2024. The top-six drivers in the point standings in each division have advanced to the playoffs. In each division, the points leader at the end of the regular season earned three bonus points. They will enter as the leader of the pack with those 3 points, while the other five drivers will reset to zero points. Playoff drivers earn points based on their finish in the first three playoff events. The highest finishing playoff driver will earn 6 points in each feature, while the second highest earns 5, etc., down to 1. At the end of the first three weeks, the four drivers with the highest totals will advance into the Final Four. On championship night, the highest finishing of the four drivers in that specific event earns the championship. The Seekonk Speedway points grid will continue to also run normally though the rest of the season. The champion will finish first in the final points, but second place in the standings will be the driver who earned the most points over the whole season, if that driver is not the champion. This weekend, the first of three weeks of points collection begins. On Fast Friday, which begins at 7 p.m., the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars, Helger’s Pure Stocks, Sport 4’s, Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits and Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws will all compete. All five divisions have championship battles to watch, but also others racing to grab the trophy and the checkered flag in each feature event. The Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars playoff field includes Jacob Burns, Josh Parsons, Richie Helger Jr., Chase Silvia, Mason Tessier and Brendan LaBelle. Will one of them open the playoffs with a win, or will someone like Rodney Dowless Jr., Stephen Bowden or Ryan Vanasse Jr. earn their first career win in Friday’s 25-lap feature? The Sport 4 field includes Matt Pion, Richie Johnson, Tyler Duhancik, Justin Leduc, Crystal Murray and Taylor Bowser. All of the winners so far this season are included in this group except David Westgate and Arthur Meack. Pion, Duhancik, Leduc and Murray have all been to Victory Lane this season. Will one of them kick off the playoffs with a bang on Friday in the 25-lap feature? Helger’s Pure Stock racing has been wild all year, and their six contenders are ready. Mike Henriques, Brent Robidoux, Ethan Souza, Jared Cordeira, Danny Massa and Bobby Bettencourt III will all compete for the title. But, can someone like Greg Perry or Tim Ouellette add another win to their 2024 season and spoil the party? The Pure Stocks will go for 25 laps this week. In both of the Bandolero divisions, all of the season winners are in the playoffs. In the Bandits, David Bernier, Luka Dib and Mason Silva have been the most consistent drivers all year. They are joined by Ayla Martin, Jase Chaber and Carl Satterlund Jr. in the battle for the crown. In the Outlaws, Bryson Robidoux enters the playoffs on a roll - but with tough competition coming behind him. Parker Davis, Nick Uhrig Jr., Brody Wakefield, Ryder Aguiar and Mike Hanafin will also contend for the crown. On NASCAR Saturday, First Responders Night at the track begins at 6 p.m. The Pro Stock field in the playoffs includes Vinnie Arrenegado, Bobby Pelland III, Mark Jenison, Dylan Estrella, Colbey Fournier and Mike Brightman. These six drivers make up the winners this season, except Dick Benoit and David Darling. They have proven to be the best in 2024 - and will have a chance to cement their legacy as champion. All of them are looking for their first Pro Stock title except Jenison, the two-time and reigning champion. But, Arrenegado, Pelland, Estrella and Brightman all have titles in the Late Models to their credit. The Late Model pack is seemingly wide open, as most of the drivers have shown great speed during the season. Charlie Rose edged Jacob “Rowdy” Burns by three points at the end of the regular season with multiple feature wins, including two in a row late in the summer. Burns has his own wins to his credit this year, with Chase Belcher coming in as the third seed, followed by Richie Murray, Luke Lebrun and Mark Jenison. Belcher hasn’t won, but obviously was strong enough to advance. Murray is a two-time winner, Lebrun fired off a victory in the final race of the regular season to advance, and Jenison is a former champion looking to pounce. Look out for the Late Models, who always put on a show. Helger’s Sportsman playoff racing will come down to Colby Lambert, Adam Pettey, Tyler Almeida, Josh Hedges, Doug Benoit and Scott Serydynski Jr. this season. All six of these drivers are worthy, but the two at the top have definitely put together the best season. Lambert only has one victory, but has been impressively consistent. Pettey has multiple wins, showing speed weekly. Behind them, Tyler Almeida, Josh Hedges, Doug Benoit and Scott Serydynski Jr. follow. These four drivers have yet to visit Victory Lane this season (other than Hedges on opening night) and will likely need to find their way there if they want to win the title. In the Chaz’s Sport Trucks, Mike Duarte, Rick Martin, Tim Bolger Jr., Jake Vanada, Amy Arsenault and Mike Cavallaro will advance and compete for the title. Many of them have won this season, all of them can make a run at the title. Seekonk’s NASCAR Division IV class continues to showcase a mix of veterans and rising stars. Seekonk Speedway will open the Sunoco Drive For The Cup this Friday, September 6 and Saturday, September 7. For more information and tickets to upcoming events, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media. SEEKONK, Mass. — With the regular season now in the rear-view mirror, the fields have been set on NASCAR Saturday for the Sunoco Drive For The Cup in 2024. Six drivers in each division will compete for the crown - with four advancing into the Final Four after the first three weeks to contend for the title on championship night, September 28. Let’s break down the six drivers in each NASCAR division contending for the title. —————-- The Pro Stock field:
The Pro Stock field couldn’t have more talent, experience and capability. These six drivers all earned their spot in the Sunoco Drive For The Cup, and it is going to be fun to watch them battle it out for the crown. Arrenegado had a host of second-place finishes this year, finishing there in all but just a few events. The defending track Late Model champion knows how to win in his format. Since he’s moved to the Pro Stocks, he’s yet to visit Victory Lane. If he wants to win the championship, it’s likely he’s going to have to find his way there before it’s all set and done. Bobby Pelland III is a former track Late Model champion, but not in this format. Pelland was in the Final Four last year, coming up just short of the title. This season, he looks for redemption. The car has been nearly on point all year, with multiple top-five runs and a victory to his credit. Pelland would like nothing more than to become a two-time champion at Seekonk Speedway, this time in the Pro Stocks. Mark Jenison enters the playoffs as the third seed, and the two-time and defending champion. Can he make it three in a row? Jenison would join an elite list if he can, not only winning three Pro Stock titles in a row, but also capturing a fourth track title overall. He may not have had winning speed weekly this season, but it feels eerily similar to his past title runs. Dylan Estrella is a former track Late Model champion, looking to knock the Pro Stock title off his bucket list. Estrella has won multiple events and shown speed right from the first green flag of the season. With Everett’s Auto Parts on the side, he’s going to be a threat. Colbey Fournier has multiple wins to his credit, including one towards the end of August. Maybe a darkhorse to some entering the playoffs, Fournier will be there when it counts. He’s shown the speed, the ability and the drive to get it done. The final seed is Mike Brightman. After a year filled with ups and downs, Brightman ended the regular season in Victory Lane on August 24. Can he use that momentum to finally grab his first Pro Stock title in the Sunoco Drive For The Cup? —————-- The Late Model field:
The field in the Late Models wasn’t decided until the final lap of the regular season. A wild final event and wreck in turn three switched up the points, moving a driver from third entering the night all the way out of contention. It just goes to show every single lap matters. Charlie Rose enters the playoffs with the three bonus points as the regular season leader. Perhaps one of his best seasons of his career, Rose has been to Victory Lane multiple times and been inside the top-five and podium often. There have been times this season where Rose looked unbeatable. As he enters the playoffs, his veteran experience and speed will be tough to match. Jacob “Rowdy” Burns will be right there to challenge him. Burns is a multiple-time winner in 2024 and not someone to overlook. He’s shown similar raw speed to Rose at times, but also the ability to charge through the field in different grooves to get to the front. Burns will also contend for the Fast Friday Legends Cars title, which he won last year. Chase Belcher enters as the three seed, but he’s been quiet this season. Consistent enough to push himself into the playoffs, can Belcher use this opportunity to go out there and become track champion in the Everett’s Auto Parts No. 35? Richie Murray won on opening night in 2024 and followed it up with another win during the month of August. He advanced into the Final Four in 2022, coming up just short of winning the title. Can he add another title to his family legacy? His sister, Crystal, is also competing for the Sport 4 title on Fast Friday, and she’s won the last two. Richie is a former NASCAR Saturday Sport Truck champion himself and his family needs no introduction to longtime Seekonk fans. Luke Lebrun entered the final night of the regular season outside of the playoff field. He jumped into the battle in a big way - picking up the feature win to do it. Lebrun has a few wins this year, and although he had a quiet final stretch to get in, he seems to have grabbed momentum just at the right time. The final driver in? Former champion Mark Jenison. He will look to do what he did in 2022 again - win both the Late Model and the Pro Stock titles in the same season. The Late Models will come up first, with Jenison looking to find some more speed. He hasn’t had the year he would have hoped so far, but the last few years in this format, he found the ability to get the job done. Can he do it again in 2024? —————-- The Helger’s Sportsman field:
The Helger’s Sportsman playoff field is filled with a mix of experienced drivers, but some not in this division. Colby Lambert enters as the leader with the three bonus points after a dominant regular season in the No. 54. Lambert won the regular season by just about 20 points, even with a mechanical failure on the final night and a tough finish. He’s entering the playoffs looking to showcase that he can get the job done and add another championship to the Lambert family list at Seekonk Speedway. His brother, Jeremy, picked up a Fast Friday Pure Stock title a few years ago. Colby is primed and ready to contend for it in the Sportsman. After making the Final Four last year and coming up just short, Adam Pettey looks to rebound this playoff run. He had another strong season, with countless wins and speed every week. Pettey is going to be there when it matters. Can he seal the deal, and will it take a victory on the final night to do it? Tyler Almeida quietly climbed his way up to third in the Sportsman point standings at the end of the regular season. With a strong car late, Almeida was in contention for the victory on the final night. Can he transfer the speed into the playoffs and compete for the crown? It sure looks like he has a good shot. Josh Hedges is a former Seekonk Late Model winner, Sport Truck champion, and now Sportsman winner. He’s put together a consistent regular season, always around the top-10 in the finishing order. As he enters the playoffs, can he pounce on the opportunity? Look out for the final two seeds as well. Doug Benoit is a former Fast Friday Pure Stock champion, and even though he had trouble throughout the summer, Benoit is going to be a factor. In the last few events of the regular season, he’s shown the speed to prove he can contend. And we can’t count out Scott Serydynski Jr., either. Although he hasn’t shown blazing speed, the team has a week in between the regular season finale and the playoffs to get to work and make it faster. Can this young driver add his name to the list of Sportsman champions at Seekonk Speedway? —————-- The Chaz’s Auto Body Sport Truck field:
The Chaz’s Auto Body Sport Truck playoff field includes three former champions and three looking to mark down their first at the Action Track of the East. Mike Duarte had best regular season of anyone, coming away with the three bonus points as the leader. He picked up his first win of the season late in August, and enters the playoffs looking for his second track title. Duarte has never seemed more motivated to contend for a championship. Radical Rick Martin, who will enter the Seekonk Speedway Wall of Fame on September 21, is looking to make it three Sport Truck titles in a row. The last few years, when it matters most, Martin is right there to seal the deal. With a feature win to his credit and a solid regular season, Martin enters the playoffs looking to add more hardware to the mantle. Tim Bolger Jr. may be the surprise of the season so far in the Sport Trucks. With multiple feature wins and the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series title to his credit, Bolger is fast, consistent and smooth. Can he make a run at the championship? Absolutely. He’s joined by three others: Jake Vanada, Amy Arsenault and Mike Cavallaro. Vanada has put together a year with ups and downs, but enters the playoffs with a little momentum, after a podium finish in the final race of the regular season. The driver of the Everett’s No. 29 will look to use that momentum to catapult himself to the title. Arsenault is a feature winner this year and made the Final Four in the Trucks last year. She looks to get back there this year, and seal the deal as champion. And Mike Cavallaro… the veteran of the group, along with Martin. Cavallaro has countless titles to his credit, but hasn’t picked one up since 2016. The speed in the No. 80 may not have been where he wanted early in the year, but man, did he find something down the stretch. Is it just his time to get back to the top? The Sunoco Drive For The Cup for all nine Seekonk divisions includes four weekends of racing from September 6-7 through D. Anthony Venditti championship weekend, September 27-28. SEEKONK, Mass. — With the regular season now in the rear-view mirror, the fields have been set on Fast Friday for the Sunoco Drive For The Cup in 2024. The champion will finish first in the final points, but second place in the standings will be the driver who earned the most points over the whole season, if that driver is not the champion. Let’s break down the six drivers in each Fast Friday division contending for the title. —————-- The Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars field:
These six drivers will battle it out for Fast Friday’s top prize - the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars title. The story here most of the year has been Burns, Parsons and Helger, and it shows in the standings. All of them have multiple feature wins to their credit. Burns picked up a win and the Everett’s Triple Crown in August, while Parsons may have started off slower than he wanted, but he rocketed to multiple wins during the summer and was a master of consistency. Helger, who won early in the season, continues to show growth in speed and consistency. He followed it up with a second win on the final night of the regular season - preparing him for the title run. Silvia, Tessier and LaBelle have also shown their speed during the season. Silvia picked up his first career win during the summer, showcasing his name to advance into the playoffs, now with a shot at the title in his second full-time season. Tessier hasn’t won in ’24, but the former Everett’s Triple Crown champion does know how to win, and will be a threat. LaBelle is another driver who always seems to be inside the top-five when it comes down to the end of the race. The speed in the No. 4 is unquestionably enough to give him a shot. Who wins the 2024 Legends Cars title? Is it Burns going back-to-back? Parsons finally grabbing his first? Helger winning his second Seekonk title, adding to his former Bandolero championship? Silvia bursting on and winning it? Tessier making a strong statement? LaBelle winning as the last seed in? We will all find out together. All Legends Cars races inside the playoffs will be 25-laps except championship night, which will be 30 laps. —————-- The Helger’s Pure Stock field:
The Helger’s Pure Stock field is one of the most competitive in recent memory, as they get set to chase the championship. The field is filled with veterans, a Rookie contender, and one just continuing to learn with every lap, chasing their first career win. Mike Henriques earned the three bonus points as the leader at the end of the regular season, winning that by 10 points over Brent Robidoux. Henriques is the most veteran of the group, other than Danny Massa. His experience in the Fast Friday Pure Stock division will certainly give him an edge when it comes to competing for the crown. With victory this season and tons of consistent top-five runs, look out for Henriques to finally seal the deal as a Seekonk Speedway champion. Robidoux has been the surprise of the year, as a Rookie in this division. With multiple feature wins, he is well on his way to winning the Rookie of the Year award. However, why stop there? Robidoux has shown the speed to contend, driving through the field weekly. Look out for the Rookie to make a strong push towards the title. Ethan Souza may be one of the quietest drivers in the group, but has the raw speed and driving ability to make himself a major threat. Souza has been to Victory Lane this year and is another driver who always seems to find his way to the front when the race is winding down. He’s joined by defending champion Jared Cordeira, who enters as the fourth seed. Cordeira quietly advanced last year as a lower seed and ended up capturing the title, showing incredible speed in the final four weeks. He’s definitely had similar speed this year - so will he make it back-to-back in the Pure Stocks? The final two drivers are two complete opposites when it comes to their veteran experience. Danny Massa, this year’s Everett’s Triple Crown champion, has been racing in the division for many years, with many wins and top-five finishes. Bobby Bettencourt III is the opposite - just in his second year, he will look to score his first career win during the playoffs - but what about contending for the title? He made it into the playoffs and he has a chance to really put a run together to surprise some people and capture a crown. All Pure Stock races inside the playoffs will be 25 laps except championship night, which will be 30 laps. —————-- The Sport 4 field:
The Sport 4 Sunoco Drive For The Cup field includes a mix of different drivers, some with more experience than others, but all with speed during the 2024 regular season. Matt Pion captured fire right from the start this year, winning, and finishing in the top-five in almost all of the events run. Pion may have come up short of the Everett’s Triple Crown title he wanted, but he now turns his attention to the playoffs, looking to add his name to the list of champions at the Action Track of the East - and he has three bonus points on his side to get started. Richie Johnson hasn’t been to Victory Lane in ’24, but has been quietly consistent. The driver of the No. 8 would certainly love to put himself in position to get into the Final Four and have a shot on the final night. Unlike Johnson, Tyler Duhancik has won twice this season. The driver of the No. 48 has shown some great speed all year, looking unbeatable a few times. Duhancik will be a threat down to the final laps to try and earn his first track title in the No. 48. Justin Leduc is another one that put together a consistent season. With wins to his credit and also the Everett’s Triple Crown title, Leduc enters the playoffs with nothing to lose. He wants the title. Crystal Murray may enter as the five seed, but she’s won the last two championships in this format - showing she can bring her best when it counts. She may have had a regular season unlike the last two years, but you can’t count out the first two-time female champion in the history of Seekonk Speedway, who is looking to make it three in a row. The final seed entering the playoffs is Taylor Bowser. Taylor has shown her own flashes of speed this season, and one of her goals entering the year was to grab her first career win. As the playoffs are set to begin, she has four more weeks to get it. And with four weeks with nothing to lose, she will look to drive into a championship run. All Sport 4 races inside the playoffs will be 25-laps except championship night, which will be 30 laps. —————-- The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandit field:
The story of the season in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandit field has been consistency. As the six drivers who are advancing to contend in the Sunoco Drive For The Cup get ready to roll, who will it be hoisting the trophy? All six drivers have finished on the podium at some point this season, some more often than others. Bernier, Dib and Silva have all of the victories spread between the three of them, and those three have been on the podium the most. As you look at the field, it’s hard to say the champion will not be one of these three in 2024. All three have the speed to do it. Which one is the favorite? Hard to say. Bernier has the three bonus points on his side as the regular season points leader, but the other two have momentum as well. The other three contenders certainly enter as darkhorses, but they have all shown the speed to be on the podium this year at different times. Martin, who also made her Legends Cars debut recently, would love nothing more than to compete for a track title on the final night. Jase Chaber has watched his brother Nick win races over the years, and a victory in the playoffs could be exactly what he needs to spark a run. How about Carl Satterlund Jr? After picking up his first podium in the final race of the regular season, he’s storming into the playoffs with momentum on his side. Seekonk’s youngest division will surely put on a show for four weeks, with 15 laps each time to help decide the champion. —————-- The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaw field:
The six drivers entering the Sunoco Drive For The Cup in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws are all deserving of a shot at the title. Five of them have been to Victory Lane this season, showing the speed they need to make a run for it down the stretch. But, some of them have more wins than others. Robidoux has been the dominant car the last month. With three bonus points on his side now as the leader at the end of the regular season, he’s bound for a run into the Final Four. Once he gets there, he’s shown the car has enough speed to drive off into the sunset. His brother, Brent, is also contending for a Fast Friday title in the Pure Stocks. They both won on the same night twice already this year. Wouldn’t it be something to have two brother champions in the same year? Parker Davis has been to Victory Lane himself and has been truly consistent. With speed and a championship in this format in the Bandit division to his credit, look out for Davis to pounce on opportunity ahead of him. Uhrig, who made the Final Four last year in the Bandit division, has moved to the Outlaws, won, and showed speed and talent the entire season. Brody Wakefield has looked unbeatable at times. Although he may have cooled off some during the month of August, Wakefield comfortably advanced into the playoffs and now will turn his attention towards four solid weeks to have a shot to call himself a champion. He’s joined by Ryder Aguiar and Mike Hanafin, seeds five and six entering the playoffs. Hanafin has won, Aguiar has not. But both of these drivers found themselves needing strong runs on the final night to advance into the playoffs, and they made it happen. Now, can they make a run at the title? —————-- The Sunoco Drive For The Cup for all nine Seekonk divisions includes four weekends of racing from September 6 through D. SEEKONK, Mass. — In the final race of the regular season for the NASCAR Late Models on Saturday night, Luke Lebrun shook the monkey off his back. After having fuel issues a week prior, and not taking a lap in the feature, Lebrun started seventh on Saturday and rebounded in a big way. The driver of the No. 27 took the top spot from Chase Belcher in the final laps, then rolled to another win on the 2024 season. Lebrun is one of the six contenders moving on to compete for the championship in the Sunoco Drive For The Cup in September. While Lebrun won, Rookie of the Year contender Andrew Gomes drove through late and finished second. Belcher settled for third, followed by Mark Jenison and Brittany Campbell in the top-five. Richie Murray finished sixth, followed by Brendan LaBelle, Tyler Lallier, Nathan Tracey and Jarrod Freitas. The Late Models will return to the track for the first race of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup on Saturday, September 8. SEEKONK, Mass. — Tom Scully III found himself up front at the finish of Saturday’s Chaz’s Auto Body Sport Truck feature at Seekonk Speedway. Scully had to hold off two of the best in the Sport Trucks in the final laps - but he was up for the challenge. Scully’s first victory of the season came on the final night of the regular season, driving the No. 5. Jake Vanada worked through the pack to finish in second, while Mike Cavallaro followed and finished third. Dane Saritelli was back in the top-five, finishing in fourth, followed by Mike Duarte in fifth, one week after his first win of the season. Tim Bolger Jr., Rick Martin, Amy Arsenault, DJ Thibeault and Darryl Church rounded out the top-10. The Chaz’s Sport Trucks will return to the track for the first race of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup on Saturday, September 8. SEEKONK, Mass. — Corey Fanning may not have run the whole season at Seekonk Speedway, but you know when he brings his Sportsman to the track, he’s going to be in contention. Fanning found himself back on top on Saturday night, taking down the victory in the Helger’s Sportsman 25-lap main event. The 25-car field had just one caution flag during the feature event. Fanning started third, fell back a bit early, but then charged through to take the lead, then hold off Tyler Almeida to take the feature win. Almeida’s strong run put him on the podium in second. Ed Perry followed in third, with Steve Axon and Adam Pettey finishing out the top-five. Doug Benoit, Gerry DeGasparre Jr., Jeremy Lambert, Scott Serydynski Jr and Nick Brightman rounded out the top-10. The Helger’s Sportsman will return to the track for the first race of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup on Saturday, September 8. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media for the latest news and updates. SEEKONK, Mass. — Mike Brightman started on the pole in Saturday’s Pro Stock main event, and found himself in Victory Lane at the end of 40 laps. Brightman jumped out front and led the entire distance, returning his ride to the top spot. Brightman, carrying tribute colors this season, has had a season filled with ups and downs so far. As he heads for the Sunoco Drive For The Cup, Brightman might be finding his groove at the right time. Dylan Estrella passed Vinnie Arrenegado in the final laps and tried to make a move, but ran out of time. They finished with Estrella second and Arrenegado in third. SEEKONK, Mass. — Luka Dib found himself back in Victory Lane Friday night at Seekonk Speedway. Driving the No. 13 in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits, Dib jumped out front in the early laps of the race, survived a wild battle for the lead, then drove away to score another feature win. Dib had a great regular season in the Bandit division, with multiple wins and constant podium runs. The win in the final race of the regular season prepares him for a run at the championship in the Sunoco Drive For The Cup in September. Jase Chaber and Carl Satterlund Jr. joined him on the podium, finishing second and third. It was a strong run for both drivers as the playoffs are set to begin. Ayla Martin finished fourth, with Mason Silva and David Bernier rounding out the top-six. The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits will return to the track on Friday, September 6, for the first race of four in the Sunoco Drive For The Cup.
