SEEKONK, Mass. – Seekonk Speedway announced today that Everett’s Auto Parts, based in Brockton, Massachusetts, is returning to sponsor the Triple Crown Series at the track in 2023. Everett’s continues to support local grassroots racing at the Action Track of the East with this special three-event series for all of Seekonk’s nine divisions across Fast Friday and Saturday nights. The Triple Crown Series will once again include a championship for the three events in a Chase format where the winner of the first race, winner of the second race and top two points drivers from the first two will compete in the Final Four. In the final race, the highest finishing of the four wins the Triple Crown title. In order to be eligible to win the Triple Crown, a driver must compete in all three races. The Triple Crown events will include extra laps for all Seekonk divisions except the Bandolero divisions and will all have their champions crowned as part of Everett’s weekend at the track on August 18 and August 19. “Roy and his team at Everett’s Auto Parts have been a major supporter of racing at Seekonk Speedway for many years and have become a great advocate of the Triple Crown Series,” David Alburn, Competition Director at Seekonk Speedway, said. “This series gives our fans a great opportunity to watch our drivers compete with some extra laps, for extra glory. It’s always exciting.” With over 15 acres of vehicles, you will find everything you need. And if you can’t, Everett’s is networked to almost every salvage yard in the country. If they don’t have your part, they can find it! Visit them online or give them a call at 508-583-7478. For more information on Everett’s Auto Parts, visit Everettsautoparts.com. SEEKONK, Mass. — NASCAR has finalized the National point standings for all divisions across the country and Seekonk Speedway competitors are well-represented inside all divisions.
Division III saw Chad Baxter pick up the National Northeast championship, actually besting out Seekonk track champion “Captain Fun” Craig Pianka by 50 points. Pianka would finish second, with New Hampshire driver Ricky Bly coming home third. Baxter also finished fifth in the Division III National championship against hundreds of drivers from across the country, one year after winning that crown. Pianka wasn’t far behind nationally — finishing 13th.
In Division IV, Seekonk Chaz Auto Body Sport Truck champion Rick Martin not only won the Track title in the Sunoco Drive For The Cup, but also excelled nationally. Martin was the winner of the Northeast Regional points for Division IV, besting his fellow Sport Truck competitor Barry Shaw and New Hampshire driver Gordon Farnum. Seekonk regulars Brittany Campbell and Mike Duarte finished the top-five in these standings. Martin also was able to finish third in the National points for Division IV out of hundreds of competitors — with Shaw finishing eighth in the overall Division IV points overall.
Seekonk’s Pro Stock eight-time champion Dave Darling may not have won the track title this year, but he was the highest Pro Stock driver in the NASCAR points across the country. Darling finished 18th in the Northeast regional points for Division I and also was 94th overall in the country in Division I points.
Seven-time Seekonk Late Model champion Gerry DeGasparre Jr. finished fifth in the regional points for Division II in the Northeast with multiple feature wins. DeGasparre was also able to post the 17th best total across the country in Division II.
Seekonk Speedway is pleased to see so many of our weekly competitors finish so high in such a competitive point standings throughout the country.

The Drive For The Cup, ready to move to a four-race series in the new season, will help to crown all nine of Seekonk Speedway’s 2023 champions, spanning across both Fast Friday and NASCAR Saturday.
The Drive For The Cup produced some of the most thrilling moments in recent Seekonk history during the 2022 season – including Mark Jenison winning both the Late Model and Pro Stock titles – including a wild final corner that saw Jenison on his side up against the wall coming across the finish line. It also produced polished champions on both nights for all nine of Seekonk’s divisions. All drivers who made it to become champion lived up to the pressure of the moment – something the fans loved, and the new year will be even more exciting.
