SEEKONK, Mass. — With just a few laps to go in the Chaz’s Auto Body Sport Trucks on Saturday night, it looked like it might finally be the night for Darryl Church. Jake Vanada, who passed him for the lead in the final laps the week prior, charged through the pack and came away second this time around. Mike Duarte continues to show his consistency, charging through the field himself to finish in third. Tom Scully III and Lenny Guy rounded out the top-five after 25 laps. DJ Thibeault, Rick Martin, Mike Cavallaro, Marissa Morgan and Dane Saritelli followed. The Chaz Auto Body Sport Trucks will be back on the track on Saturday, July 20. SEEKONK, Mass. — Adam Pettey has put together a clean sweep of the first two rounds of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series at Seekonk Speedway. Pettey rocketed from deep in the field to the front to win the 35-lap Helger’s Sportsman feature on Saturday - marking his third consecutive win in the Sportsman. Winning one race in the Sportsman division is tough - but three in a row is something else! In a rough and tumble extra-distance race, Pettey and Colby Lambert battled hard for the lead in the second half, swapping the top spot back and forth multiple times. Pettey held on for the win, with Lambert in second and Tyler Almeida coming through the field to finish well. Joe Kolher, Jeremy Lambert, Rob Kohler, Crystal Serydynski, Josh Hedges, Randy Moretti and Gerry DeGasparre Jr. all crossed the line with solid runs as well. The Helger’s Sportsman will be back on the track on Saturday, July 20. Burns started fifth in the 30-lap main event, the finale of three straight days of racing at the Action Track of the East. He quickly charged to the front, was at the lead well before the halfway point, and never looked back. The victory for Burns continues to show he is going to be a threat when it comes time to crown a champion later in the year. Chase Belcher worked his way through the field to finish in second, holding off the challenges of Mark Jenison over the final laps. Jenison was third, followed by Charlie Rose and Richie Murray. Rey Lovelace, Dave Darling, Andrew Gomes, Luke Lebrun and Brittany Campbell rounded out the top-10. The Late Models will return to the track on Saturday, July 13, for round two of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series, set for 45 laps. SEEKONK, Mass. — For the first time this season, Dave Darling made a Seekonk Speedway appearance in the Pro Stocks on Saturday night. In the second round of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series, Darling returned to Pro Stock Victory Lane, charging from his ninth-place starting spot right to the front. Darling passed Dylan Estrella on a restart for the lead, and everyone thought he would drive away from there. However, Darling had Estrella hounding the back bumper for many of the final laps. Estrella tried it all, but couldn’t get around. Vinnie Arrenegado snuck by in the final corner to grab second, his fourth in fourth races in his Rookie campaign in the Pro Stocks. Estrella settled for third. Bobby Pelland and Colbey Fournier were next in line, grabbing fourth and fifth. Mike Brightman, Tommy Adams, Kenny Spencer, Mark Jenison and Mike Rotondo finished out the top-10. The Pro Stocks will be back on the track on Saturday, July 13, for another 40-lap feature. SEEKONK, Mass. — Josh Parsons and Jacob Burns battled hard over the final laps in Friday’s first round of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series for the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends. But, when the checkered flag went in the air, Parsons was the one celebrating in Victory Lane. Parsons beat Burns to the line after their battle to pick up the victory. Parsons, a former Triple Crown champion, is off to a strong start in 2024. Burns had a good run himself, crossing the line second. Richie Helger Jr. worked his way into the front few and finished a strong third, with Brenden LaBelle and Mason Tessier rounding out the top-five. SEEKONK, Mass. — Ethan Souza had a fast car and was in the right place at the right time on Friday night at Seekonk Speedway.
In the Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks, Souza picked up the victory in round one of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series. Souza was running second in the final laps, after leading a portion of the race. Brent Robidoux was looking for another win in the Pure Stocks, and was in control of the race with just a few laps remaining, when contact with a lapped car impacted the race and he went spinning. That handed Souza the lead (in the right position at the right time) and he took full advantage. Jared Cordeira charged from deep in the field to the front to finish second, while Mike Henriques came from the rear himself, finishing in third. Bobby Bettencourt III and Danny Massa rounded out the top-five. Greg Perry, Matt Talbot, Josh O’Hara, Brent Robidoux and Gary Conrad rounded out the top-10. Leduc swapped the lead back and forth with defending Rookie of the Year Richie Johnson for a good portion of the race. The two battled hard for the lead in the final laps, with a few others joining them in the competition. In the end, Leduc topped Johnson across the line to take the feature victory in the 30-lap special. Matt Pion finished third, with Sam Mesick making a surprise Seekonk appearance to finish in fourth. Taylor Bowser rounded out the top-five. Tyler Duhancik, Christine Cavallaro, Andrew Rittman, Kaine Duby and James Sullivan finished the top-10. In the first round of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series, Wakefield had to start last in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws, driving a completely different car compared to practice and qualifying. Wakefield started at the rear, got the cautions when he needed them, and took advantage of it all to rocket to Victory Lane. Parker Davis crossed the line in second, with Bryson Robidoux coming away with another strong run on his season, finishing in third. A crash on the final lap going through turns three and four collected multiple top contenders in a race that was rather clean throughout the pack. A strong field of 14 cars competed in the first round of the Triple Crown on Friday night. The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws will be back on the track on Friday, July 12, for another 15-lap feature.
