ROBIDOUX BROTHERS DOUBLE DOWN, BOTH WINNING IN THE SAME NIGHT

SEEKONK, Mass. — Friday, July 12 will be a night the Robidoux family will never forget at Seekonk Speedway.


Both Bryson Robidoux and Brent Robidoux celebrated in Victory Lane at the end of their respective feature events on Fast Friday. Bryson captured his first career win in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws, while Brent captured his second career Pure Stock win in just his fifth start.


The victory combination marks one of the first times in known Seekonk Speedway history that a brother combination has won on the same night. This is a historic night - again showcasing the youth program that Seekonk Speedway has. The Lebrun family, with Luke and Eric Lebrun Jr., also won races on the same night in 2015.


Brent moved through the Bandolero divisions prior to this season, and now competes in the Pure Stocks, likely preparing himself to move up to NASCAR Saturday in the future. Bryson moved from the Bandits to the Outlaws, and will soon move to the Pure Stocks next season as well.


The Robidoux family has been racing at Seekonk Speedway for years. This night definitely tops everything else.


“It’s unbelievable,” Bryson said after climbing out in celebration. “I’ve wanted to win here ever since I was a little kid and follow in my dad’s footsteps and my entire family. I’m just so happy.”


“This isn’t what I had in mind, I didn’t even know if I was driving this car or not at the beginning of the year,” Brent said in Victory Lane when asked about winning multiple races so quickly in his Rookie year. It’s really good that both of us could win on the same night and Bryson could get his first win here (at Seekonk). Feel great.”
