Seekonk Speedway would like to make fans, teams and competitors aware of the opportunities available to them with online digital passes for entry to the track this season. Through SeekonkSpeedway.com, fans can purchase grandstand admission passes online and put them into their Apple Wallet or print them at home, where they can use them to get in at the track on race day. The same goes for teams, drivers and crew members in the pit area. 


Fans or teams that complete this step will be able to speed up their entry on race day and avoid delays getting into the track. This is especially important for this Saturday, June 1, as the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour comes to town and lines are expected to be increased. Fans will not want to miss the special ceremony honoring the late “Bugsy” Stevens at 5:45PM.


Pit passes are available in advance on the ticketing platform for purchase. The process is simple: people should go online to SeekonkSpeedway.com, click on tickets, and create an account through the software. Once the account has been created, purchase pit passes or grandstand tickets for respective events you are going to be attending. Upon completing purchase, a link will be sent to your email address with the passes. When opening the link, be sure to add them to your Apple Wallet, or print them at home, to bring with you on race day. 


On top of the ticketing platform, there are also some important notes fans and race teams should consider for upcoming events (and all events) at the Seekonk Speedway. No pets are allowed in the pit area or the grandstands.  Seekonk Speedway also has a minor policy in place, unlike some other tracks. Any children that enter the pit area must be at least 15-years-old at the time of the event and all minor paperwork must be filled out and notarized prior to entry. Seekonk Speedway will not have anyone available to notarize paperwork on race day — it must be done ahead. There are no exceptions to this rule. There are no children under 15 allowed in the pit area. Any patrons over 18 must be able to prove their age at the pit booth on race day if asked.

This also works for teams who would like to purchase passes for their entire team or a few crew members. Upon purchasing the passes, you are able to forward them into someone else’s email address name and they will be able to access them for themselves.

SEEKONK, Mass. — The month of May ends, and the month of June begins in a big way this weekend at Seekonk Speedway. On Friday night, the Fast Friday divisions hit the track for the second time this year chasing feature wins at 7 p.m. 


On NASCAR Saturday, the Whelen Modified Tour will be in town for the J&R Precast 150, while the Helger’s Sportsman, Chaz’s Sport Trucks and Late Models will also be in action beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour invades Seekonk on Saturday for the first and only visit of the season. All drivers are chasing Ron Silk in the Tour standings. Silk has three victories in the first five Whelen Modified Tour events of the season at New Smyrna, Thompson and Riverhead. Other winners this season include three-time series champion Justin Bonsignore (Richmond) and Jake Johnson (Monadnock). Jake is familiar with Seekonk Speedway fans as a multiple-time champion in the Fast Friday Legends Cars division and feature winner in the Pro Stocks and Late Models, who has now gone Modified racing. There will also be many other contenders in the field like Matt Hirschman, Doug Coby and more.


Saturday’s racing also includes the first round of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series for the Late Models, set for 50 laps. Richie Murray dominated the second half of the season-opener on May 11 and will return looking to charge through the field and make it back-to-back. He will be closely challenged by names like Jacob “Rowdy” Burns, defending champion Vinnie Arrenegado, Luke Lebrun, Connor Souza and more. The extra-distance event will be the highlight of a full night of NASCAR Advance Auto Parts weekly racing.


The Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Sportsman will also be on track for their second race of the year. Part-time campaigner Josh Hedges won the first one over Tyler Almeida. But, defending division champion Steve Axon and front-runner Adam Pettey will be looking to get back to the front this week. They will be joined by the Chaz’s Auto Body Sport Trucks, who have their own 25-lap event planned. Defending and seven-time Seekonk champion Rick Martin won the first race, but will have names like Mike Duarte, Darryl Church, Jake Vanada and others looking to take him down. 


Saturday night racing begins with a special ceremony for Carl “Bugsy” Stevens, a four-time Seekonk Speedway champion and also a historic NASCAR Modified champion, who passed away last week. Fans are encouraged to get to the track by 5 p.m. to make sure they do not miss the special ceremony. The ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by qualifying for the Whelen Modified Tour, then heat races.


The Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars will headline the Fast Friday campaign, as a five-division card roars the Action Track of the East to life to end the work-week. The Legends are coming off a strong first race that saw defending champion Jacob “Rowdy” Burns capture the feature win over Richie Helger Jr and Mason Tessier. Not only will the Legends run 25 laps, but the Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks and Sport 4’s will do the same.


In the Pure Stocks, the first event of the year went to defending champion Jared Cordeira, who jumped out early and dominated the show. He was joined on the podium at the end by Mike Henriques, who started last and charged through the field to finish second, and Brent Robidoux, a Rookie of the Year contender in the division. In the Sport 4 class, Matt Pion started off 2024 strong with his first career win. He’s heading back for week two looking for more, but names like Taylor Bowser, Crystal Murray and others will look to challenge.


Both Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero divisions had a strong start to the year, with Luka Dib (Bandits) and Mike Hanafin (Outlaws) winning their first events. Naming just a few drivers to watch in these classes would be tough, as they both showcase Seekonk’s youth, rising talent. Both divisions will be on track on Friday for 15 lap races.

SEEKONK, Mass. — For the sixth time this season, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour is set for competition on Saturday night - this time right here in Massachusetts. The Tour invades the Action Track of the East on Saturday, June 1, as they continue their 16-event championship battle with the J&R Precast 150. It’s the first and only stop at Seekonk for the Tour in 2024.

Coby will drive the No. 44 for Tinio Racing, looking for his first win with that bunch. 


Fans should also keep an eye on names like Craig Lutz and Patrick Emerling, who enter the race fourth and fifth in the Whelen Modified Tour point standings. Rising star Austin Beers, Kyle Bonsignore, Trevor Catalano, Tyler Rypkema and Tommy Catalano are also expected to be contenders.


In 11 previous NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour races at Seekonk, 10 different drivers have been to Victory Lane. Will another new winner be added this time around?


Also on the card, Seekonk’s Late Models open the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series with a 50-lap feature, while both the Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Sportsman and Chaz Auto Body Sport Trucks will run 25 laps.

SEEKONK, Mass. — Defending Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars champion Jacob “Rowdy” Burns opened the 2024 season in the best way possible on Friday night. 



Driving the No. 13, Burns jumped out to the lead early in the first 25-lap race of the season and held off Richie Helger Jr. late to score the feature win. Burns, who also competes on NASCAR Saturday in the Late Models, is off to a strong start on Fast Friday.


Helger charged his way through the pack, bringing the No. 99 Helger’s machine home in a strong second. He was followed to the line by teammate Mason Tessier, who had to come back from early race trouble, and finished third. Rodney Dowless Jr. and Chase Silvia followed across the line in fourth and fifth. Brenden LaBelle, Kevin Davis, Jimmy “Pepe” Silvia, Jaden Hamilton and Steven Bowden finished the top-10.

SEEKONK, Mass. — Jared Cordeira opened the 2024 season the same way he finished the 2023 campaign at Seekonk Speedway - in Victory Lane. Cordeira dominated the opener of the Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stock season, pulling away to score the victory in round one. Cordeira won the title last year, and seems to have impressive speed right out of the box to start the new year driving the No. 20.



Mike Henriques charged through the field after trouble in qualifying and scored a strong second-place finish on opening night. Brent Robidoux, making his debut in the Pure Stocks after many seasons in the Bandolero division, finished in third spot. Ethan Souza and Matthew Talbot crossed the line fourth and fifth at the finish.


Bobby Bettencourt III, Justin Menard, Gary Conrad, Jared Barishian and Harold Holdsworth finished the top-10.

SEEKONK, Mass. — Matt Pion used the outside lane to take the lead, then hold off all challengers to score his first career Sport 4 win at Seekonk Speedway on Friday night. Pion worked his way through the field and once he got out front, had a strong car, rolling to the finish to capture his first career win.


Taylor Bowser had quite the impressive start to her season, taking the No. 07 to the front and finishing in second after 25 laps. Two-time division champion Crystal Murray followed in third, grabbing a podium in week one. Richie Johnson and Justin Leduc followed in fourth and fifth.


Mikey LeFort, Dave Westgate, Jacob Budzyna, Andrew Rittman and Christine Cavallaro finished from sixth through 10th.

SEEKONK, Mass. — In his first career race in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws, Mike Hanafin celebrated in Victory Lane Friday night at Seekonk Speedway. 


Hanafin jumped out front early in his debut Outlaw race and never looked back, taking the red, white and blue No. 76 machine into Victory Lane. He was a winner in the Bandits, and it seems like the success will continue into the Outlaws for 2024.


Bryson Robidoux and Brody Wakefield put on a show battling for second over the final half of the race, with Robidoux edging out across the line to grab second by inches. Robidoux finished in third. Parker Davis had a quiet, but strong run to finish fourth in race one, with Ryder Aguiar crossing the line fifth at the finish. 


Zachary Keith, Nick Uhrig Jr., Zacharias Kelley, Abbie Badejo and McKinley Burrows finished the top-10.

SEEKONK, Mass. — Luka Dib found himself in Victory Lane to open the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandit season on Friday night at Seekonk Speedway. 



Dib rocketed to the lead right away and never looked back, scoring the victory in the opening 15-lap race of the season driving his No. 13. While Dib won — it wasn’t by much — as David Bernier and Mason Silva followed him closely across the line at the finish.


The podium group of Dib, Bernier and Silva showcases just some of the youth, rising stars the Seekonk Speedway offers on Fast Friday. The Bandolero Bandits are the youngest group of racers at the track. Jace Chaber finished a solid fourth-place in the first race of the year, with Carl Satterlund Jr. rounding out the top-five.
