SEEKONK, Mass. — For the third time in his Late Model career, Richie Murray was celebrating in Victory Lane on Saturday night at Seekonk Speedway. Murray started 5th in the 30-lap main event, but quickly worked his way to the front. He passed Chase Belcher for the lead on a restart inside the first 10 laps then held off Charlie Rose in the middle of the race. He drove away in the final laps to score his second Late Model win of the season at the Action Track of the East. Rose finished in second, another strong run for the veteran in the No. 91. He held off a hard charge from Jacob “Rowdy” Burns in the final laps. Burns was right behind him at the finish in third. Chase Belcher and Brittany Campbell finished fourth and fifth. Mark Jenison, Luke Lebrun, Bobby Pelland, Tyler Lallier and Allen Coates rounded out the top-10. The Late Models will be back on the track on Saturday, July 27, as the Pro All Star Series comes to town.
