EVERETT’S ANNIVERSARY SERIES RACES FOR SPORTSMAN, SPORT TRUCKS HEADLINE END OF JULY AT SEEKONK SPEEDWAY

SEEKONK, Mass. — Seekonk Speedway will conclude the month of July with two more nights of short-track racing this weekend. Fast Friday roars to the track with the season heading for the final few weeks before the championship contenders are decided. Six divisions will be on the card once again. 

On NASCAR Saturday, four divisions hit the track including the Everett’s Auto Parts Anniversary Series special events for the Sportsman and Sport Trucks, both set for 40 laps. The Pro Stocks and Late Models will also return with the East Coast Towing and Recovery Spectator Drags joining the show.

Fast Friday goes green at 7 p.m., while NASCAR Saturday will roar to life at 6 p.m.

The Pro Stock second round of the Everett’s Triple Crown went right down to the wire last time out, with Nick Lascuola holding off David Darling to capture his second win of the season. The two raced tightly over the final half of the extra-distance event, with Darling stalking the back bumper. Lascuola came out on top, but Darling has been impressive again this year, with three victories and a worst finish of third so far. These two aren’t the only to have success so far in 2026 - with Dylan Estrella also visiting Victory Lane. Vinnie Arrenegado Jr was impressive in the last event, on the podium for the first time this year. Mike Brightman has shown winning speed, and is inching closer to the checkered flag. Also look out for names like Mark Jenison, Colbey Fournier, Dick Benoit and others as the division goes back to a 40-lap feature this week.

The Late Models are coming off their 75-lap showdown last time out, with Chase Belcher adding his name to the winners list. Through the first six races of their season, six different drivers have carried the checkered flag. That list includes Belcher, Richie Murray, Mark Jenison, Andrew Gomes, Ryan Flood and Manny Dias. All of these contenders will look to use this week’s 30-lap contest to get back to the top of the field - but there are many others who want to make it seven for seven. Look for defending champion Charlie Rose, Ryan Vanasse Jr, Luke Lebrun, Rey Lovelace and others to be contenders.

The last Sportsman event went to Mike Henriques, as the graduate from Fast Friday was in Sportsman victory lane early in his Saturday career. Henriques will be back this week as the Sportsman get on the track for a 40-lap special in the Everett’s Auto Parts Anniversary Series. The only driver to win multiple Sportsman races has been Randy Moretti, who has two wins. Other winners this season include Doug Benoit, Nick Wood, Nick Brightman and Adam Pettey, outside of Henriques. All of these drivers will be contenders in the extra-distance showdown this week - which will also include names like Scott Serydynski Jr., Matt Talbot, Adam Giacomozzi, Jimmy “Pepe” Silvia, Kent Aspden III and many more.

The Sport Trucks had their first repeat winner of the season two weeks ago, with Ethan Heilborn capturing his second checkered flag. Similar to some of the other NASCAR Saturday divisions, the Sport Trucks entered their most recent event with no one capturing more than one victory, already deep into the month of July. Winners other than Heilborn include Mike Duarte, Tim Bolger Jr., Richie Helger Jr., Mike Cavallaro and DJ Thibeault. When you look at drivers who haven’t won yet, three stick out as ones to watch going into this week - and all three are at the top of the championship standings. Back in the top-five last week were Scott Cestodio (points leader), Jake Vanada and Tommy Adams. Can one of them win this week, as the Sport Trucks roll into their 40-lap special in the Everett’s Auto Parts Anniversary Series?

On Fast Friday, the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars saw Mason Tessier rocket to Victory Lane for the first time in four years last week. Tessier was the second straight driver to add their name to the list of winners for the 2026 season, with Brian Wilkinson Jr. scoring his first career win on July 10. Tessier, and teammate Richie Helger Jr., have been among the most consistent cars all year. Helger would love to earn his first win this Friday. Keep your eyes on Brody Wakefield, another driving inching closer to his first career win. Isaiah Newcomb has shown incredible speed of late, and you can never forget about four-time season winner and former champion Jacob Burns. And these are just some of the names to watch!

For the first time in her career, Crystal Murray visited Pure Stock Victory Lane last week. Crystal became the fifth different winner in the Fast Friday division, joining Ethan Souza, Richie Johnson, Bryson Robidoux and Bobby Bettencourt III. All five of them will be back looking to add another win in the 25-lap contest on Friday night. If you’re looking for someone who can become the sixth different winner, follow Brent Robidoux. Brent finished second last week and is just eight points off the championship lead heading for the end of July. Second-year driver Zachary Keith has also been impressive, holding a strong top-five spot in the championship battle.

In the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits, a wreck early in the race shook up the competition last week. Landon Solomito and his brother Brody collided, and the night ended for both of them. That opened the door for Jace Chaber to storm through and pick up his first victory of the season. Chaber became just the third winner, as Mason Goodale, a part-time contender, and Landon Solomito had won all of the previous events. The big story last week was Brooke Meyer, who appeared to be a championship contender in the Bandits, not racing. That opened the door for Tobey Lecuyer and Elias Dib to become two definite drivers to watch, as they both look to lock up their spots in the playoff Final Four contenders.

Samantha Sleboda captured her first Sport 4 victory of the season in the most recent 25-lap contest, holding off the charges of Daniel Hayes over the final laps. Hayes will be itching for another shot at the checkered as the Sport 4s return again this Friday night. It was an off night for three-time season winner Arthur Meack and David Westgate, as both continue to tune on their rides heading towards the championship stretch. If Hayes can’t get the job done, look for rookie contender Antonio Mancini to be one to watch, as he looks to become the next Sport 4 first-time winner. 

The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws are all scratching their heads to trying to figure out how to beat Luka Dib. He captured his sixth win in a row last time out, and is making it look easy, although it’s definitely not an easy task to rack up wins like this. Dib has some heavy challengers to try and knock him off - led by Zacarias Kelley, the only other winner so far. Brady Connors has been impressive, along with Ryder Aguiar, Allyha DeSomma and others. The Outlaws are back for another fast 15 laps this week.  

When you look at the One Way Recycling Crown Vic Cruisers, Mike Cavallaro is using this division as his personal playground. He was in Victory Lane for the sixth time in a row last Friday, but has a few hungry drivers trying to knock him off the top. John Lallier and Nic Lecuyer have both shown speed and led laps. Will one of them, or someone else, be able to take Cavallaro off the top this Friday night?
