FAST FRIDAY, NASCAR SATURDAY ROAR BACK TO LIFE THIS WEEKEND

SEEKONK, Mass. — An extra-distance special for the Late Models, Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series races, and the only appearance of the year by the Senior Tour Auto Racers (S.T.A.R) headline weekend action at Seekonk Speedway this Friday and Saturday, July 10 and 11.

Fast Friday kicks it off with three Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series races (Sport 4s, Crown Vics & Pure Stocks) along with the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits and Outlaws and Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars.

NASCAR Saturday returns headlined by the Everett’s Auto Parts 75-lap Late Model special worth $1,500 to win, while the Pro Stocks run their second Triple Crown event set for 60 laps. The Sportsman and Sport Trucks will also be on the track for championship points racing.

Friday racing begins at 7 p.m. while Saturday takes the green at 6 p.m.

David Darling captured his 100th career win last time out in the Pro Stocks, defeating some of the best to accomplish a major feat. Darling has been the dominant force early, winning three of the five six races. Dylan Estrella, the 2024 champion, and Nick Lascuola, a former Legends Cars champion, won the other two. With the extra-distance on tap, 60 laps in the Triple Crown, the three of them are for sure favorites. They are joined by Vinnie Arrenegado Jr., who looks to steer his season onto the podium for the first time. The speed under the hood of Mike Brightman’s No. 27 has been impressive at times this year, but he has yet to visit Victory Lane. Names like Mark Jenison, Colbey Fournier, Dick Benoit and others will be back on the track this Saturday.

The Late Models have seen five winners in five events, with Richie Murray becoming the latest to add his name to the list. Murray is joined by Mark Jenison, Andrew Gomes, Manny Dias and Ryan Foood on that list. With the 75-lap contest on tap this week, $1,500 to win courtesy of Everett’s Auto Parts, all five will look to become the first two-time winners. If you’re looking for someone to make it six for six, look for defending champion Charlie Rose, Ryan Vanasse Jr. and Chase Belcher, along with Luke Lebrun. All four of these drivers have shown they have the speed to win in one of Seekonk’s most competitive divisions. And there are others - like Rey Lovelace, Brenden LaBelle, Nick Uhrig Jr., Bill Goodrow and more who fans can keep their eyes on.

In the Sportsman, it’s been a similar story to some of the other NASCAR divisions so far in 2026. The only two-time winner in the Sportsman is Randy Moretti, who won on opening day, and was back in the winner’s circle last time out. Moretti has been competing against names like Doug Benoit, Nick Brightman and Nick Wood. Last time on the track, Matt Talbot came within one lap of his first career win, and through six events, the Sportsman are primed for their sixth winner this Saturday. Talbot, Scott Serydynski Jr., Adam Giacomozzi and Sam Lincoln are a few drivers who come to mind to watch. If Adam Pettey attends, look for him to try and capture another trophy.

Sport Truck racing has been wild early in the season, with six winners in six events. Mike Duarte, Richie Helger Jr., Tim Bolger Jr., Ethan Heilborn, Mike Cavallaro and DJ Thibeault have all carried the checkered flag. Oddly enough, the top three drivers in the championship standings have not been to Victory Lane. Scott Cestodio leads by 13 points over Jake Vanada, with Tommy Adams just 25 points out. Those three will look to make it seven for seven in the winner’s circle this week. Keep your eyes on Colton Teague as well. The defending Rookie of the Year came a mere few inches away from his first career win last time out.

The stars and cars of the Senior Tour Auto Racers (STAR) will join the action on NASCAR Saturday to give fans a look back in time. Their qualifying and feature events will be first on the schedule.

Coming off their Wednesday night special, the Nick Lascuola Summer Showdown worth $2,000 to win, the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars return for 25 laps on Fast Friday. Jacob “Rowdy” Burns has four wins in six events, while only Josh Parsons (part-time) and Isaiah Newcomb have joined him in the winner’s circle. Although Burns has four wins, it’s the consistency of Mason Tessier and Richie Helger Jr. breathing down his neck in the championship battle heading into July. Tessier has been sixth or better in all but one race, while Helger has finished seventh or better in all. Brody Wakefield has produced a strong start to the season as well, just 12 points out of the championship lead and inching closer to his first career win.

The second round of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series is on tap for the Pure Stocks, set for 30 laps. Four races have produced four winners - Richie Johnson, Ethan Souza, Bobby Bettencourt III and Bryson Robidoux. The major void in Victory Lane so far this season has been Brent Robidoux, who has been fifth or better in all. Brent may be the favorite to make it five winners in five events this week, but look out for Zachary Keith, Peter Bleau or Crystal Murray to burst to the front as well.

Sport 4 racing has been dominated by Arthur Meack through five races. Meack has three feature wins and a worst finish of fourth. His teammate, Dave Westgate, was the other full-time championship race winner this season. Westgate’s up and down early season run still shows him second in the championship standings. Samantha Sleboda will be back this week after missing the last event, looking to crawl her way back in the points. Sleboda has finished on the podium in all four races she has run. Look for Daniel Hayes, Jacob Budzyna and Christine Cavallaro among others this week.

Mike Cavallaro’s streak continued in the One Way Recycling Crown Vic Cruisers last time out. Cavallaro picked up his fourth win in a row after finishing fourth on opening night. He was closely challenged by Dylan Cabral last time, as the two battled down to the wire of the contest trying to beat Mother Nature. Cabral will be a major threat to knock Cavallaro off if he attends this event. Tyrese Mello, John Lallier and Nick Lecuyer have also been improving on their rides in the quest for Victory Lane.

The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws have been chasing Luka Dib. The rising star has four consecutive Bandolero Outlaw wins and finished second in the season-opener. As the clear favorite early in the season, Dib will have many challengers to knock him off. Zacarias Kelley is the only other winner this season and is currently second in the championship standings. Ryder Aguiar, CJ Satterlund and Cameron Manion round out the top-five in the title chase.

In the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits, the Solomito brothers show the way at the top of the championship. Landon has three wins in five events, with a second-place finish mixed in. Brody Solomito hasn’t won yet, but in his first season, has been inside the top-five in all but two events. One driver to watch going into the sixth race of the season is Tobey Lecuyer, getting closer and closer to winning glory every time on the track. Others to watch include Jace Chaber, Brooke Meyer and more.

Friday racing begins at 7 p.m. while Saturday takes the green at 6 p.m. Tickets for all events at Seekonk Speedway are available online at SeekonkSpeedway.com.
