SEEKONK, Mass. — The dominance of Mike Cavallaro in the One Way Recycling Crown Vic Cruisers has been well documented this season at Seekonk Speedway, and it continued Friday night - but didn’t come without some late race fireworks.

Cavallaro was one of two drivers eligible to win the Everett’s Triple Crown title, and quickly got the lead away using the outside lane and looked to be clear sailing once again. However, over the final laps, John Dulac closed the gap significantly and was right there for the final lap on Cavallaro’s bumper. Dulac tried the inside going into turn one, and was able to get even. Through turns three and four, both drivers put it all on the line, but it was Cavallaro coming out on top once again.

It was the seventh victory of the season for the veteran. Dulac finished second, with Nic Lecuyer in third and John Lallier fourth. It was Cavallaro's first career Triple Crown title at Seekonk Speedway.

The One Way Recycling Crown Vic Cruisers will return to the track on Friday, August 14, for another main event.
