SEEKONK, Mass. — It’s been something everyone knew would happen, it was just a matter of when. Friday night at Seekonk Speedway was the night for Nick Uhrig Jr. The driver of the No. 11 put together an impressive performance in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits, leading the entire race to pick up his first career win. Not only did Uhrig score his first win, he did it in a race that included a mid-race break due to Mother Nature. The field stopped after a caution on lap two due to some rain at the track, then finished off their race after the Sport 4 feature. In the end, it didn’t matter for Uhrig, he was carrying the checkered flag. Defending division champion Sam Macedo finished second in the race with Mike Hanafin in third. Jace Chaber made his Seekonk debut in the No. 00 to score a strong fourth-place finish while Mason Silva was fifth. Ryder Aguiar, Carl Satterlund Jr., Luka Dib and Parker Davis finished off the results. The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws will return to the track on Friday, June 24 with another main event, set for 15 laps.
