By Souza Media SEEKONK, Mass. — Mike Brightman worked hard. Really hard. Brightman took the lead on lap 20 in the Pro Stocks round one of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series extra-distance event, and even though the rest of the race went green, none of it was easy. Brightman drove away to a 10-car length advantage, but then David Darling closed the gap, and the final 10 laps was worth the price of admission. The two battled hard for the top spot, with Darling trying both lanes to find a way by. A few times it looked like he might have the run he needed, but it didn’t pan out. There was no one denying Brightman on this night. Mighty Mike captured his second win in three races, as the former Late Model champion has found the speed with some help from Jimmy Kuhn, and as he mentioned in Victory Lane, it’s time to get it in the winner’s circle. Darling settled for second. Rick Martin, Colbey Fournier and Tom Scully Jr finished the top-five. Ryan Lineham finished sixth, followed by Tommy Adams, Danny Thibeault, Billy Joeress and Bobby Pelland. The Pro Stocks will return to the track on Saturday, June 10, with a 40-lap feature.
