As the summer heats up, Seekonk Speedway has plenty of exciting action coming up over the month of August and into September. Beginning this Friday night, August 5 and Saturday, August 6, Fast Friday and NASCAR Saturday return to the track — both as part of Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Finale Weekend. In all nine feature races this weekend, the Triple Crown champion will be crowned, with four drivers racing for the title in each division. It should be quite the interesting set of races with extra distance being the name of the game in all but the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero classes. On Friday, August 12, Fast Friday continues as the race to the inaugural Drive For The Cup presented by Sunoco Race Fuel inches closer. Saturday, August 13 will be one of the most action-packed nights at the Speedway yet in 2022! This night also includes the annual Fans on Parade, so get your gear ready! The track will also hold the annual Pit Party, meaning racing will begin one hour late at 7 p.m. For race teams, the pit area will open at 1 p.m. and practice will take place at 3 p.m. On August 13, the track will also have Kids Night and the American Racer Pro Stock 75-lap race with three other NASCAR divisions! As part of a tripleheader weekend, the Monster Trucks return to Seekonk Speedway for the second time this year on Sunday, August 14, with the annual Troy City Tactical Spectator Drag race also part of this show. Not only will they have their normal one-on-one drags, but the Spectator Drag drivers will also race each other all together in a special event! Fast Friday continues on August 19, while on Saturday, August 20, it’s Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment night at the races! The four NASCAR divisions will be just one week away from setting the playoff field. The final of three mid-week events will take place on Wednesday, August 24, with the Boston Louie Seymour Classic headlined by the NEMA Midgets and NEMA Lites, along with the Supermodifieds in town presented by PASS for 100 laps. The finale of the regular season will take place on August 26/27, with Fast Friday and NASCAR Saturday divisions setting the lineup for their playoff drivers in this Wild Card Weekend Spectacular! Who will make the playoffs? The field of eight will be set (six in the Bandolero’s) on this event weekend! On Saturday, September 3, Seekonk Speedway lights up the night sky track style for the second time this year with Fireworks as part of the Labor Day Thrill Show. For this Thrill Show, enduro car registrations will cap at 125 instead of the normal 150, so get your registrations in today at SeekonkSpeedway.com! Also, for Thrill Shows (including Monster Trucks), grandstand gates will open at 2:30 p.m. for advanced ticket holders, while ticket windows will open at 3:30PM. Tickets are available for all of these events and the remainder of the 2022 season worth of races today at SeekonkSpeedway.com! Come spend the remainder of summer at the Action Track of the East.
