SEEKONK, Mass. — For the second time this season, seven-time Seekonk Speedway Late Model champion Gerry DeGasparre Jr celebrated in Victory lane on Saturday night. DeGasparre used a late, three-wide move to pass Mark Jenison and Luke Lebrun in the final laps to take down the victory. With just a few laps to go, it looked like Jenison was in control to score his first Late Model win of the year. However — DeGasparre got the caution he was looking for and slid to the bottom, passing both of them for the win. Lebrun finished in second, his best run at Seekonk in the Late Models to date, while Jenison led laps and finished in third. Richie Murray finished in the fourth spot, followed by Jacob Burns. Jeramee Lillie returned to the top-10 finishing in sixth, followed by Bill Woodrow, Vinnie Arrenegado, Reese Bogue and Kevin Bowe. The Late Models will return to the track on Saturday, July 23, for another 30-lap feature on Shriners night at the track.
