SEEKONK, Mass. — Ethan Souza had shown tons of speed in the Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks, just hadn’t been able to seal the deal. In Friday’s 25-lap feature, he put it all behind him. Souza jumped out front early, passing for the lead on lap two, then led the remaining of the distance to score his first win of the season. A few late cautions didn’t slow him down. He becomes the third winner in five races so far this season, joining Danny Massa and Scott Cestodio (three wins). Souza was chased to the finish by Sam Lincoln, who returned to the podium in the Pure Stocks for the first time since last year. Jared Cordeira was third, also scoring his first podium of the season. Danny Massa and Matt Talbot followed in fourth and fifth. Greg Perry, Timmy Ouellette, Scott Cestodio, Michael Marcou and Josh Badach completed the top-10. The Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks will return to the track on Friday, July 14 for another race.
