SEEKONK, Mass. – Seekonk Speedway will host the final of two awards banquets from 2023 racing on Saturday, January 20, where the NASCAR Saturday champions and special award winners will be honored. Back at the White’s of Westport for another year, Seekonk Speedway is excited to honor top performers after another thrilling NASCAR Saturday season went into the record books. Mark Jenison will accept the championship crown for a second straight year in the top Pro Stock division. After a tight battle with Bobby Pelland III, Jension came out on top on the final night in the 50-lap feature, claiming his second straight Pro Stock title. Jenison will be honored along with Pelland and the top-10 finishers like Mike Brightman, Tom Scully Jr. and Dick Benoit. The 2023 Late Model champion, Vinnie Arrenegado, will officially collect his second career crown. Arrenegado captured the title after a fierce battle with Jenison on the final night in the 40-lap feature, getting himself to the head table for the second time. He will be honored along with Jacob "Rowdy" Burns, Jenison and others for their Late Model success in 2023. The Helger's South Coast Power Equipment Sportsman champion Steve Axon will accept the title honors for the first time in nearly a decade. Now a multiple-time champion, Axon will celebrate with his family at the White's of Westport, while names like Adam Pettey, Chad Baxter, Craig Pianka, Ryan Lineham and others will be honored. Chaz's Auto Body Sport Truck champion Rick Martin will collect his seventh track title at the upcoming awards banquet. Martin came out on top of a tight battle with Jake Vanada throughout the second half of the season, capturing the title on the final misty night of racing in September. Vanada, who won the NASCAR Division IV Northeast championship, will join names like Brittany Campbell, Amy Arsenault, Mike Duarte and others who were top-10 finishes to be honored. Seekonk Speedway will also honor the 2023 NASCAR Everett's Auto Parts Triple Crown Series champions during the awards ceremony. The banquet will include the return of the Top 10 moments from the NASCAR Saturday season – started two years ago, the new tradition looks back to some of the most influential moments of the 2023 season. The banquet, at White’s of Westport, will be a buffet style dinner prior to awards. The room will open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., followed by awards presentations. Tickets for the banquet are available online at SeekonkSpeedway.com or by calling the office during normal business hours at 508-336-9959.
