SEEKONK, Mass. -- Seekonk Speedway announced today updated policies for the return of the Everett's Auto Parts Triple Crown for the 2023 season for both Fast Friday and NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Saturday. The Triple Crown Series is a three-race series for all nine of Seekonk's divisions. The series includes extra-distance races for all divisions except the Bandoleros, and a separate champion is crowned in this series. Again for 2023, the Triple Crown Series champion will be determined in a Chase style format, where the winner of round one, winner of round two, and two drivers with the two highest point totals from the first two rounds will meet in the Final Four. On Everett's weekend at Seekonk Speedway, August 18-19, all nine Triple Crown champions will be crowned. Entering that weekend for each division, the driver who finishes the best of the four in the Final Four will be crowned the Triple Crown champion. However, new for 2023, a new policy has been put in place. In order to be eligible to make the Final Four of the Triple Crown Series, a driver must have raced in at least three events outside of the Triple Crown races before the Final Four event. This means that in order to be eligible to participate and win the Triple Crown, a driver must compete in a total of six events including the Final Four race (all three inside the Triple Crown and at least three outside of the Triple Crown, prior to the finale weekend). "The Triple Crown is intended to be a bit of extra incentive for the drivers who support Seekonk Speedway all season, we always welcome cars from other Short tracks at our race nights but these bonus races are meant to benefit our weekly competitors“ David Alburn, Competition Direction at Seekonk Speedway, said. "We appreciate the continued support of our competitors and the entire team at Everett's Auto Parts and look forward to another exciting Triple Crown in 2023." 2023 Triple Crown Dates Pro Stocks -- June 17, July 22, August 19 Late Models -- June 10, July 15, August 19 Sportsman -- June 3, July 1, August 19 Sport Trucks -- May 20, June 24, August 19 Pure Stocks -- June 16, July 21, August 18 Legends Cars -- June 23, July 28, August 18 Sport 4's -- June 9, July 14, August 18 Bandolero Divisions -- June 2, July 7, August 19
