SEEKONK, Mass. — Due to impending weather expected to hit the Seekonk area on Sunday, Seekonk Speedway announced today that the start time for NASCAR Opening Day has been moved up to 12PM for Sunday, May 5. Qualifying heat races will hit the track promptly to start the day, followed by feature racing. The Pro Stocks, Late Models, Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Sportsman and Chaz Auto Body Sport Trucks will all open their 2024 season on Sunday. The pit area will open at 8AM for competitors and practice will begin at 10AM. The grandstands will open at 10:30AM for advanced ticket holders and 11 am for day of ticket sales. “Seekonk Speedway is committed to getting Opening Day in for both our dedicated competitors and race fans after a long winter,” David Alburn, Competition Director, said. “We know everyone has been eager to see some racing at the Action Track of the East.” Tickets are available online now at SeekonkSpeedway.com.
