SEEKONK, Mass. — The Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Sportsman may have run their feature after the Whelen Modified Tour, but it was one fans did not want to miss. And in the final stretch run to the finish, the fans saw a show worth the price of admission. In the end, after 25 laps, it was Scott Serydynski Jr. carrying the checkered flag. Serydynski made a late move to take the lead, then held off all challengers to score the feature win. Colby Lambert and Mike Mitchell both started deep in the field and both made their way up through, ending up on the podium in second and third. Doug Benoit and Tyler Almeida followed, finishing fourth and fifth. Josh Hedges charged through the field, after winning race one of the season, and finished sixth in race two. He was followed by Adam Pettey, who led many laps on Saturday, Rob Kohler, Jimmy “Pepe” Silvia and Jeremy Lambert. The Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Sportsman will be back on track for round one of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown on Saturday, June 8.
