SEEKONK, Mass. — Sam “The Green Hornet” Macedo was back on top Friday night at Seekonk Speedway. Driving his familiar No. 16, Macedo made the move to the front of the pack early, then held off Nick Uhrig Jr. to roll to his second feature win of the season in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits. The defending champion went without a victory last year, but as the division hits the month of July, he will look to report in the Sunoco Drive For The Cup with at least two wins to his credit. Uhrig had a strong run to finish second, adding yet another consistent finish to what is turning out to be the best season of his career. Parker Davis, who won the first two races of the season, returned to the podium to finish in third spot. Ryder Aguiar had a career best fourth and Mike Hanafin, the winner from one week prior, finished the top-five. Jace Chaber, Mason Silva, Carl Satterlund Jr., David Bernier and Luka Dib completed the top-10. The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits will return to the track on Friday, July 21, with another 15-lap race.
