By Souza Media SEEKONK, Mass. — Jacob “Rowdy” Burns wasn’t going to be denied. For the first time in his Seekonk Speedway Late Model campaign, Burns captured the checkered flag on June 3, rocketing past Mark Jenison with a cross-over move and never looking back. Jenison jumped out to the early lead in his No. 22, but Burns quickly worked his way to the front, and challenged for the lead when the field crossed for halfway. It wasn’t long before Burns and Jenison started trading paint, but the show was worth the price of admission. Burns passed for the lead on lap 22 and finished in the winning spot, with Jenison hanging on for second, and Chase Belcher grabbing a podium finish in third. Gerry DeGasparre Jr and Vinny Arrenegado finished the top-five. Through four races, the Late Model division has four different winners. Josh Hedges finished sixth, followed by Ryan Flood, Richie Murray, Nate Tracey and Reese Bogue. The Late Models will return to the track on Saturday, June 10, with a 30-lap feature.
