SEEKONK, Mass. — After the twists and turns of a Late Model race that went from the green to the checkered flag without a yellow to stop it, veteran Charlie Rose went on top in the No. 91 after 45-laps in the Late Models. Rose worked the outside of Luke LeBrun in the final laps, while racing for second on the scoreboard. However, even though Rose crossed the line third at the finish, officials made calls to penalize the first and second place cars, and Rose was the victor of the main event. Mark Jenison finished second and Jacob “Rowdy” Burns was credited with third. The Late Models now have two races in the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series in the books. The third and final race in the series will be held on Saturday, August 12. One week later, they will be off when the American-Canadian Tour is in town on August 19. The Late Models will be back on track on Saturday, July 22 for another 30-lap feature.
