SEEKONK, Mass. — Crystal Murray saw a pack of cars riding around the bottom in front of her in the first round of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series for the Sport 4’s on Friday night, and decided to go around all of them to pick up the win. Murray, the defending division champion, used the top lane to pass the five cars in front of her nearing the halfway point in the 30-lap feature then drove away from the competition to win her first race of the season in round three. Murray’s outside lane moves left a long list of challengers to battle for second. In the end, Tyler Duhancik, rebounding after a tough wreck a few weeks ago, was able to finish in the runner-up spot with Henry Lavallee not far behind in third. Sam Matter made some nice moves to finish in fourth and Richie Johnson rounded out the top-five. Jarrod Freitas finished sixth, followed by Daniel Hayes, Taylor Bowser, Christine Cavallaro and Jacob Budznya. The Sport 4’s will return to the track on Friday, June 24 with another main event, set for 25 laps.
