SEEKONK, Mass. — For the 110th time in his Seekonk Speedway career, Radical Rick Martin was celebrating in Victory Lane on Saturday night. Martin opened the 2024 season for the Chaz’s Auto Body Sport Trucks by rocketing to the front early, then holding off all challengers on multiple late restarts to win the first race of the season. Darryl Church worked his way through the field, challenging Martin late. He would settle for second after 25 laps, while Mike Duarte rounded out the podium in third. Duarte also challenged Martin for the top spot on multiple restarts during the race. Jake Vanada and Amy Arsenault both opened their 2024 inside the top-five, finishing fourth and fifth. DJ Thibeault, Lenny Guy, Mike Cavallaro, Tim Bolger and Marissa Morgan finished the top-10. The Chaz’s Auto Body Sport Trucks will be back on track on Saturday, May 18 for their second race of the season.
