SEEKONK, Mass. — Prior to Saturday night, Adam Pettey was one of few consistent drivers in the Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Sportsman who had not broken into Victory Lane yet in the 2023 season. This week, on Rhode Island Shriners night at the track, he made sure there were no questions about it. Pettey took the lead early and rolled to victory in the 25-lap feature in the No. 57 mount. It was his first win of the season and likely a sign of more speed to come from him heading through the summer as he plans to chase his first track championship in the Sunoco Drive For The Cup. Ryan Lineham rebounded after a tough wreck two races ago to finish in the runner-up spot, with another former champion, Steve Axon, crossing third. Chad Baxter and a returning Kyle Casper followed in fourth and fifth at the finish. Ed Perry, Colby Lambert, Jason Steely, Craig Pianka and Tyler Almeida followed them to finish off the top-10. The Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Sportsman will be back on track on Saturday, July 29 for another 25-lap feature.
