SEEKONK, Mass. — Sam Lincoln almost had it. But Greg Perry took it away.
On the final lap, Perry made a quick move to the inside of Lincoln coming across the line for the white flag, and passed him in turn three to win the first round of the Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks playoffs on Friday night. Perry and Lincoln put on a show on the podium, joined by Jeremy Lambert, as all three locked themselves into round two of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup. Nick Brightman finished fourth in the feature, while Mike Henriques followed in fifth, also advancing. Jared Cordeira was sixth, followed by Danny Massa (advancing), Jim Reilly, Don Courtemach and Ethan Souza (advancing). Not advancing in the Pure Stock playoffs were Mike Rotondo and Jordan Threlfall. The Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks will return to the track for round two of the playoffs on Friday, September 16.
