SEEKONK, Mass. -- Through four Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment races, three different drivers have been to Victory Lane, but only one of them has been there twice. Greg Perry, the defending and two-time track champion, captured his second checkered flag of the season on Friday, moving past Jeremy Lambert and Jim Reilly in the second half of the race to take the victory. While Perry got to the front using the outside lane, Reilly, who led early, was involved in a scary wreck in turn three, where it appeared like his throttle stuck down and he went hard into the wall, with flames coming out. He was able to escape from the car quickly without injury. Upon the green after a red flag, Perry got out front, while Jeremy Lambert and Danny Massa battled to the finish for second. Lambert, who had won the week prior, did everything he could to hold Massa off and was able to accomplish the goal. Massa would finish third in the 25-lap feature. Coming from the back of the pack, Mike Rotondo rounded out the top-five. The Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks will return to the track on Friday, June 24, for another main event.
