MONACO MODIFIED TRI-TRACK SERIES ANNOUNCES $20,000-TO-WIN SEEKONK EVENT

Open Wheel Wednesday Payout Boost in Honor of Vinny Annarummo

The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series (MMTTS) has announced Seekonk’s Open Wheel Wednesday event (Wed., June 26, 2024) will be a $20,000-to win race. 
With a total purse currently sitting north of $74,000 the event becomes the highest paying race in the MMTTS’s 11-year history. 
The boost in payout is credited to MMTTS Managing Partner Wayne Darling’s efforts to honor his close friend - and 7-time Seekonk Champion - Vinny Annarummo, who sadly passed away in February.
“Behind the scenes, Wayne (Darling) and Ed St. Angelo have been working for some time to spearhead fundraising as a way to honor their departed friend,” explained Renee Dupuis, Director of Series Development. 
“Just this week, Wayne and David Darling (Wayne’s son), added additional funds to the pot to make it $20k-to-win. We are proud to now be able to make the announcement on their behalf while sincerely thanking Wayne, David, Ed and the many additional contributors,” she continued. 
“As a racer’s racer, I think Vinny would be excited to learn racers are directly benefiting from his tribute,” offered Wayne. “We’ll have a full payout and complete list of contributors out shortly,” he added.
As a valued partner facility, the Series is pleased Seekonk Speedway is the chosen location for not only Open Wheel Wednesday, but also the MMTTS season finale at the Haunted Hundred (Sat., Nov. 2, 2024).
As with all monies contributed to date, 100% of any additional funds, collected between now and Open Wheel Wednesday, will be added to the purse.
