SEEKONK, Mass. — Milania Shilosky started the Sunoco Drive For The Cup in perfect position on Friday night at Seekonk Speedway. Shilosky rocketed to the lead quickly in the 15-lap Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandit playoff opener, and held off all challengers over the final laps to score another win on the 2022 season. While Shilosky drove away to the win, all five of the six drivers in the playoffs who took the green advanced to round two of the playoffs. Darren Krantz Jr. did not compete in the race, eliminating him from championship contention. Even though Shilosky won, Ryan Vanasse Jr. was hot on her tail at the finish, scoring a second-place effort. Bryson Robidoux completed the podium spots, scoring his first career podium in a great effort. At the finish, Nick Uhrig Jr. scored fourth and RJ Murphy was fifth. Luka Dib followed in sixth, followed by Sam Macedo, Allyha DeSomma, Collin Vanasse and Brody Wakefield. The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits will return to the track for round two of the playoffs on Friday, September 16.
