It was almost like Mason Tessier had been fired out of a cannon on Friday night, as the driver of the No. 42 picked up his first Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars win of the season in the 25-lap feature. Tessier started in the middle of the pack, but it didn’t take him long to get to the front, as the former Seekonk Speedway Youth Racing champion passed Derek Gluchacki just before the halfway point to take the lead for the first time. In a race that was mostly clean and green, Tessier would never relinquish the top spot. He started off the year with a few bad weeks, wrecking and ending races before the finish, but this time, Tessier was the first one across the finish line after a 25-lap battle filled with excitement. Derek Gluchacki returned to the Legends Cars, led laps, and finished in second, while Josh Parsons followed both of them across the line and finished in third spot. Brendan LaBelle charged through the pack late to finish fourth, followed by Devin Deshaies, a three-time season winner. The Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars will return to the track on Friday, July 15 for the second round of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series, a 30-lap feature.
