SEEKONK, Mass. — Mikey LeFort got to the lead around halfway in the second round of the Everett’s Triple Crown for the Sport 4 division on Friday night and never looked back. Driving the Richie Helger Racing No. 13, LeFort used a restart to get around Richie Johnson and drive away to his second victory of the season in the 30-lap feature.
The win locked Crystal Murray, the first Triple Crown winner, and LeFort into the Final Four for the Triple Crown title, along with two other drivers on points. Justin Leduc scored a career best second-place with Jarrod Freitas, another two-time season winner, finishing third. Defending champion Murray would grab fourth with Johnson not far behind in fifth. Henry Lavallee, Taylor Bowser, Tyler Duhancik, Daniel Hayes and Christine Cavallaro were sixth through 10th at the checkered flag. The Sport 4’s will return to the track on Friday, July 21, with another 25-lap race. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media.
