SEEKONK, Mass. — Henry Lavallee seems to be back to prime form at Seekonk Speedway. After years away from winning, he picked up a checkered flag earlier this year in the Everett’s Auto Parts Sport 4’s, and followed it up with his second win of the season in round one of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup. Lavallee held off division points leader Crystal Murray over the final laps to score the win, while Tyler Duhancik ended third in the official finish. Duhancik wrecked in practice and had to borrow the ride of former division champion Mikey LeFort to race, and was able to wheel it to the front. Behind him was Jarrod Freitas, ahead of Matt Pion, Cascis Mitchell, Taylor Bowser, DJ Thibeault and Michael Marcou. Eliminated from playoff contention on the night was Justin Leduc, who didn’t start after a practice wreck, and Daniel Hayes, who went out of the race early. The Everett’s Auto Parts Sport 4’s will return to the track for round two of the playoffs on Friday, September 16.
