SEEKONK, Mass. — The first half of the season definitely wasn’t what former Seekonk Speedway Pure Stock champion Greg Perry was looking for, but he seems to have turned the ship in the right direction. Perry picked up his first win of the season Friday night in the Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks, jumping out front early, passing Sam Lincoln for the lead. From there, Perry had to hold off the challenges of many behind him on multiple restarts, but he just wasn’t going to be denied. He was followed to the line at the finish by Nick Brightman and Scott Cestodio. Jared Cordeira and Sam Lincoln also were in the top-five at the finish of 25 laps. Mike Henriques, Danny Massa, Ethan Souza, Don Courtemanche and Timmy Ouellette completed the top-10. The Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks will be back on the track on Friday, August 11 for another 25-lap feature.
