​FREITAS ROCKETS TO SPORT 4 VICTORY LANE FOR THE FIRST TIME

SEEKONK, Mass. — There is nothing quite like winning a race for the first time. Just ask Jarrod Freitas, who drove the No. 04 into Victory Lane on Friday, June 24 in the Seekonk Speedway Everett’s Auto Parts Sport 4 division. After wrecking his car at another track last year, he was offered a ride by Jaden Hamilton, and has taken full advantage this year. 


Freitas took the lead away from his challengers early in the 25-lap race and wasn’t going to be denied in the second half. He held off the hard charges of Matt Pion first, then had to fend-off two-time winner and points leader Crystal Murray, who eventually finished in second. Tyler Duhancik rebounded from a tough first few weeks, scoring a much needed third-place finish.

Karlin Levesque, the winner the week before, and Jeremy Palmer finished the top-five. Taylor Bowser finished sixth, followed by Justin Leduc, Jacob Budznya, Christine Cavallaro and Stephanie Bruneau. 

The Everett’s Auto Parts Sport 4’s will return to the track on Friday, July 8. The Fast Friday divisions will be off on July 1. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media.
