SEEKONK, Mass. — The Brightman family name was back in Victory Lane at Seekonk Speedway on Friday night, but it was a new driver on the top. Nick Brightman captured his first career win in the Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks, holding off the best of the division over the final laps to score the impressive victory. Brightman led the whole race — 25 laps — but it wasn’t easy. He had multiple drivers hounding the back bumper, trying to find a way around, but they weren’t able to do it on this night. Driving the No. 5, he celebrated for the first time. Greg Perry, a two-time champion, finished second, while Danny Massa followed in third. Jordan Threlfall and Sam Lincoln completed the top-five spots. Timmy Ouellette was sixth, followed by Mike Henriques, Jared Cordeira, Ethan Souza and Ed Gould. The Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks will return to the track on Friday, July 29, for another 25-lap feature.
