SEEKONK, Mass. — The Pro Stocks wrapped a packed night of NASCAR Saturday racing at Seekonk Speedway on June 8, and it came right down to the wire to decide the winner. Dylan Estrella rocketed to the lead early in the No. 46, but when it came down to the final laps, he was doing everything he could to hang on.
Estrella had Pro Stock Rookie of the Year contender Vinnie Arrenegado chasing him down for the top spot. When they crossed for the white flag, Arrenegado was there. Even though he had a shot to make a move, it wasn’t enough. Estrella crossed the line on top after 40 laps with Arrenegado second. It was the first win of the season for Estrella and another impressive run for Arrenegado in his Rookie campaign to finish second. Bobby Pelland III followed in third, with defending champion Mark Jenison and opening night winner Colbey Fournier behind him in fourth and fifth. Mike Brightman, Kevin Casper, Jeramee Lillie, Kenny Spencer and Tommy Adams finished the top-10. The Pro Stocks will be back on the track on Saturday, June 15, for round one of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series, set for 60 laps.
