![]() SEEKONK, Mass. — The name of the game last year for Sam Macedo was win the championship, but not a feature race in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits. It was a good ending for him — capturing his first track title and etching himself into the track record books as a champion at Seekonk Speedway. This season, four races into his title defense, he already has his first feature win of the year. Macedo started from the pole position and led all of the laps to capture the victory in Friday’s 15-lap main event. He was challenged a few times throughout the race, especially on the final restart, but didn’t let it change the outcome. Macedo passed the line ahead of Nick Uhrig Jr. and Parker Davis when the checkered flag went in the air. The remainder of the field include Jace Chaber, Mason Silva, Mike Hanafin, Ryder Aguiar and Luka Dib. The results of the feature remain unofficial at this time due to technical inspection. The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits will return to the track after an off week from competition on Friday, July 7 for another 15-lap feature race.
