SEEKONK, Mass. — Collin Vanasse finally was able to knock the monkey off his back Friday night in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws. In round two of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series, Vanasse held off all challengers during a four-car dash to the finish to score his first career victory. Although a few of the early leaders tangled, many were able to continue because they tangled after a caution for another incident had already come out. Bryson Robidoux led laps three through seven, then Vanasse led laps nine through 12. On lap 13, Robidoux edged back out front. Then Vanasse took control and didn’t give it back. Collin’s first career win came after many years of trying. Andrew Gomes finished third behind Vanasse and Robidoux. Ryan Vanasse Jr was fourth and Dylan Calabro fifth. Mikey LeFort III, Ben Morabito, Zachary Keith, Nathan Rioux and Zacarias Kelley finished the top-10. The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws will return to the track on Friday, July 14 for another 15-lap race.
