CLEAN AND GREEN: JENISON GRABS FIRST PRO STOCK WIN By Souza Media SEEKONK, Mass. — In a race that didn’t see even one caution flag, Mark Jenison was celebrating for the first time in his career. Jenison captured victory in the 40-lap Pro Stock feature on Saturday, after starting from the pole, falling to second early, and taking the lead back when Ryan Vanasse had problems. Vanasse, who led from laps one through 28, appeared to have a mechanical failure across the stripe, pulling up and out of the way. Jenison, who had been following close behind, hung in there and took the lead. He was already over three seconds ahead of the field and rolled to the victory. Mike Brightman, who had picked up his second win of the season the week before, raced through the field to finish second. Dave Darling would grab third, followed by Bobby Pelland and Tommy Adams. Colbey Fournier was sixth, while Ryan Lineham, Kenny Spencer, Daryl Stampfl, and Tyler Tomassi finished the top-10. The Pro Stocks will return to racing on Saturday, June 18, for another 40-lap feature.
