SEEKONK, Mass. — In the finale of the Fast Friday season, it was NASCAR Saturday and INEX Legends Cars drivers racing in Pure Stocks. The “WTF” Pure Stock special, sponsored by Spring Villa Memory Care, was another one to remember. And after 25 laps, it came right down to the final laps, with two Late Model regulars battling it out and a former Pro Stock champion trying to chase them down. After Jared Cordeira won the championship in the Pure Stocks earlier in the night, Charlie Rose Jr. drove his No. 20 to Victory Lane in the WTF special event. Gerry DeGasparre Jr., a seven-time Late Model champion, finished second, right on his bumper. Fred Astle Jr. returned to competition behind the wheel in the No. 30 normally driven by Ethan Souza, and finished in third. Kaleb Marcou and Dick Benoit finished fourth and fifth. Behind them, Rob Murphy, Doug Benoit, Jacob Burns, Dane Saritelli and Richie Helger Jr. finished the top-10 in the special event. Seekonk Speedway wishes to thank the competitors who raced, the car owners who gave their car to run, and Spring Villa Memory Care to sponsor the event.
