SEEKONK, Mass. — Chad Baxter and the Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Sportsman are the perfect combination again in 2022. Baxter started in the middle of the pack again on Saturday night and quickly raced to the front of the 25-lap feature, passing Tyler Almeida for the lead just after halfway and never looking back. It was another win for Baxter, who is the clear favorite to win the title heading into the playoffs.
While Baxter won, Cody Tripp impressed many with a second-place finish, his best career. Randy Moretti followed with a strong run of his own, finishing in third, while Scott Serydysnki Jr. crossed the line fourth and Chris Rioux was awarded fifth after a post-race penalty. Craig Pianka finished in sixth, followed by Colby Lambert, Ed Perry, Paul Williams and Don Perry. The Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Sportsman will return to the track on Saturday, September 10, for round one of the Drive For The Cup presented by Sunoco Race Fuels, set for 25 laps.
