SEEKONK, Mass. — Bradley Strickland picked a good time to get back to Victory Lane in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws. The driver of the No. 84 took the lead early in Friday’s 15-lap feature and never looked back, holding off Andrew Gomes in the final laps to get back to the top. Strickland and Gomes have been battling inside the podium most of the season, along with Chase Silvia. In Friday’s playoff opener, Silvia, who had nine wins entering the night, was eliminated from the playoffs, finishing eighth on the grid after some contact wounded his car. Gomes crossed second at the checkered flag, followed by Adam Harrison, Brent Robidoux and Mikey LeFort III at the finish. Joey LeMay was sixth, followed by Bobby Bettencourt III, Silvia, Abbie Badejo and Leo Rossi. Moving onto round two is Gomes, Strickland, Robidoux, LeMay and Harrison. The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws will return to the track for round two of the playoffs on Friday, September 16.
