SEEKONK, Mass. — Tom “The Bomb” Adams was on fire Saturday night at Seekonk Speedway. Adams quickly raced to the lead in the special American Racer Pro Stock 75, and held off Colbey Fournier in a final lap dash to score his second win of the season. Adams passed Bobby Pelland for the lead early and while he drove away, some of the top drivers in the division had problems. Dave Darling made contact with the wall and was sidelined, while later, Mike Brightman had a flat tire and had to pit. Adams had to fend-off Fournier, who scored his best finish of the season with a second, in the final laps. Tom Scully Jr ran a strong race inside the podium to finish third, while Rick Martin and Darryl Stampfl finished the top-five. Pelland and Brightman followed in sixth and seventh, with Ryan Souliere, Mark Jenison and Tyler Tomassi completing the top-10. The Pro Stocks will return to the track on Saturday, August 27 for the final round of the regular season for 40 laps.
