The Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars enter the 2024 season with another impressive list of talent ready to compete each week on Fast Friday. Most weeks, there are at least a dozen drivers you could see competing for the win in the final laps. This year is expected to be no different.
Defending Legends Cars champion Jacob “Rowdy” Burns is back in the Nick Lascuola Racing No. 13, looking to pounce and go for back-to-back titles. Between the Legends Cars and the NASCAR Saturday Late Models, Burns looks to be a major threat on both of Seekonk Speedway’s racing nights in 2024. He’s joined in the Legends Cars by a strong group of drivers: Brenden LaBelle, Richie Helger Jr., Josh Parsons, Mason Tessier, Chase Silvia, Jase Mongeon and others. All of the drivers mentioned are capable of winning races and contend deep into the playoffs. LaBelle dominated the early stretch of last season and enters this year looking to make the title run. Helger, a former Bandolero champion, has come into his own nicely in the Legends Cars, marking his first career win last year. Parsons is a Seekonk veteran with multiple wins, along with Tessier, a former Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown champion. Silvia and Mongeon are two of the younger contenders in the division, but expected to have winning speed. Fans should also keep their eyes on names like Ryan Vanasse Jr., a dominator of the Bandolero division last year moving up to Legends Cars, his cousin, Collin Vanasse, the defending Bandolero Outlaw champion, and Jaden Hamilton, returning for another year. The full Legends Cars roster, available online, is stacked with talent. The 2024 season opens for the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars division on Friday, May 24 at 7 p.m. The season includes events from May through September. The championship night for the Legends Cars will be Friday, September 27.
