Seekonk Speedway returns to Fast Friday and NASCAR Saturday racing action for the final time in 2025 this weekend. Track champions will be crowned in the Sunoco Drive For The Cup on both nights, all part of D. Anthony Venditti Championship weekend at the Action Track of the East.
Fast Friday begins at 7 p.m., while NASCAR Saturday begins at 6 p.m. Tickets for championship weekend are on sale now at SeekonkSpeedway.com.
Last weekend, all nine Seekonk Speedway divisions competed in elimination night during the Sunoco Drive For The Cup, cutting each division down from six championship contenders to the Final Four in each class.
Fast Friday includes the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars, Pure Stocks, Sport 4s and Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws and Bandits.
The Championship 4 in the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars are Jacob Burns, Josh Parsons, Chase Silvia and Ryan Vanasse Jr. All four of these drivers scored victories during the season, with Burns leading them all with six checkered flags, followed by Silvia with two and Vanasse and Parsons with one each. Burns has been the dominant car for much of the year, with eight podium runs including his six feature wins. The driver of the No. 13 is the only one of the four with a previous title. Parsons, the longest-tenured competitor, has never won the crown, but has come close multiple times. A consistent season gives Parsons another shot to win the championship he’s been aiming for over his career. Vanasse captured his first career victory in August, winning the $2,000 to win Nick Lascuola Racing Summer Showdown. Vanasse, a former Seekonk Bandolero winner, didn’t win the title in the Bandolero division, but has Championship 4 experience there that he could lean on. Silvia captured the Everett’s Triple Crown title earlier in the summer in a similar format. The driver of the No. 117 could would love to end his season with glory after 30 laps in the season-finale, and has shown the speed to be able to accomplish the task during the season. The highest finishing of the four contenders will be the 2025 Seekonk Speedway Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars track champion.

Brent Robidoux has dominated the Pure Stock division for much of the season, capturing six feature wins behind the wheel of the No. 25. Last year, Robidoux won the championship in the Pure Stocks on the heels of his Rookie season. This year, he returns to the final night with a shot to make it back-to-back, hoping to lean on experience and speed to accomplish the task. Ethan Souza, the second most consistent driver during the ’25 season, looks to be one of his top challengers. Souza has been improving every year in the Pure Stock division, specifically posting a season filled with consistency in 2025. The driver of the No. 30 returns to the Championship 4 looking to pounce. The other two drivers set to compete for the title are season winners Mike Henriques and Matt Talbot. For Talbot, the Everett’s Triple Crown title he won in August was in a similar format, so he has experience going for it all in one race. He’s shown flashes of winning speed throughout the year, and if he brings that power on championship night, he will be tough to beat. Henriques has been in the Championship 4 before, but wasn’t able to capture the big trophy. The most veteran of the bunch, is this the year for Henriques to finally hoist the championship gold? The highest finishing of the four contenders will be the 2025 Seekonk Speedway Pure Stock track champion.

Richie Johnson dominated the Sport 4 season and enters championship night looking to hoist the gold he feels is rightfully his. Johnson won four times during the season, including last week, on elimination night. Johnson finished on the podium in all but one of the 13 events run in 2025. The driver of the No. 8 is prepared for battle and will be the one to beat when it comes to the final 30-lap showdown of the year. Johnson’s competition for the championship includes Daniel Hayes, Arthur Meack and Samantha Sleboda. Hayes has two feature wins, including one inside the playoffs. The driver of the No. 14 snuck onto the scene at the front of the pack during the summer and has shown consistent speed since he captured his first career win. Meack captured four of his own feature wins during the year, including one during the Sunoco Drive For The Cup, in round two. The No. 11 has shown speed all year, been consistent, and should be a contender when it comes down to the final laps of the finale. Sleboda snuck into the Championship 4 off a tie with Jacob Budzyna going into the last night, making the pass to advance in the final laps. Sleboda won a race late in the summer, and looks to become the second female champion in the history of the Sport 4 division - joining two-time champion Crystal Murray. The Sport 4 season-finale is set for 30 laps - the highest finishing of the four contenders will be the 2025 Seekonk Speedway Sport 4 track champion.

A dominating stretch from the middle of July on set up Landon Solomito to be the favorite to win the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandit championship in 2025 - but the battle is far from over. Solomito won on July 11, capturing his second victory of the year. From there, Solomito won five times and never finished off the podium, posting the most playoff points of anyone in the first three weeks of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup. Solomito might look like the favorite, but three other top contenders are coming to chase him down. Carl Satterlund Jr had a tough recent two weeks, but he was the most consistent driver for much of the year. Satterlund is still looking for his first career win, but would love for it to come in the championship race to hand him the gold. Jace Chaber captured the first three wins of the season in the Bandits, cooled off during the summer, then brought the heat back to win in the playoffs and is in position to pounce. Landon Heim, who entered the elimination night in a tiebreaker, broke the tie and had a strong run to lock up his spot in the Championship 4, on the heels of two season victories. Seekonk’s youngest division of drivers will be exciting to watch when they decide the title in Friday’s 15-lap main event. The highest finishing of the four contenders will be the 2025 Seekonk Speedway Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandit track champion.

The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaw championship battle might be the most wide-open of all nine Seekonk Speedway divisions. Vincent Sarro, Allyha DeSomma, Mason Silva and Ryder Aguiar will battle for the crown. All four of them have shown shades of speed over the season, and all of them have won. When it comes down to the final laps in the Outlaws, you can expect all of them to be near the front of the field. DeSomma earned three bonus points from the regular season, posting many podium runs in 2025. With two feature wins and seven podium finishes, DeSomma may be listed as the favorite. Vincent Sarro picked up his first career win on opening night, and ended the stretch run with four second-place finishes in the last five races. Mason Silva picked up one victory on the season, but has shown consistent speed, and the driver of the No. 31 should be a factor in the final laps. And Ryder Aguiar - who scored his first career win on August 15 - ended the stretch run with impressive success — scoring podiums in four of the last six events. The highest finishing of the four contenders will be the 2025 Seekonk Speedway Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaw track champion.

The NASCAR Saturday Sport Truck division appears to run through Radical Rick Martin again for the championship in 2025. Martin will be competing in his final full-time race, aiming to capture a fourth straight Sport Truck championship before he rides off into the sunset. Martin earned the most playoff points of anyone in the first two weeks - 12 - including his three bonus points from the regular season. He looks for his ninth drivers championship in his 51-year racing history at Seekonk Speedway. Martin has been closely followed all year by Ethan Heilborn and Jake Vanada, both joining him in the Championship 4. Heilborn won the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series title, dominating multiple of those extra-distance events, setting him up perfectly for Saturday’s extra-distance season-finale. Jake Vanada had a great season, posting many podium runs and a few feature wins. Vanada looks to use the experience from last year to pinpoint on what he needs to win his first track championship after years of trying. And the darkhorse in the Sport Trucks - Dane Saritelli - may have been the fastest of them all in the first two weeks of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup. Many podium runs and near-misses when it comes to his first career win during the summer earned Saritelli a shot to race for the championship. Can the driver of the No. 45 hoist the gold against the other three? Time will tell. The highest finishing of the four contenders will be the 2025 Seekonk Speedway Sport Truck champion following the 35-lap feature event.

A walk-off performance for Charlie Rose, winning last week, sets him up to contend for the Late Model championship this Saturday at Seekonk Speedway. Rose had a tough first week of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup, but followed it up by rocketing to the front and winning Saturday’s 35-lap contest in fine fashion. That sets up Rose, a veteran, to try to get revenge from misfortunate last year and add a Late Model championship in 2025 to his resume. Charlie’s top contenders will be Chase Belcher, Andrew Gomes and Mark Jenison. Belcher, who had a tough race last week, looks to put that behind him fast. Belcher had very few tough weeks during the season, posting many podium runs and a feature win in the No. 35. Belcher earned three bonus points for the playoffs off his regular season performance and showed in the first week of playoff racing he may be the car to beat in Saturday’s 40-lap season-finale. Gomes and Jension are two opposite sides of the spectrum when it comes to championship racing. Jenison won the Late Model crown in 2022, going along with his two Pro Stock titles. The driver of the No. 22 is a racing veteran, looking to add a fourth Seekonk Speedway championship to his resume. Gomes, a sophomore contender in the Late Models, has avoided the sophomore slump. In the last five races before championship night, Gomes finished top-five in four of them, including his first career win and a third-place finish last week. Is the former Seekonk youth racing driver primed to become Late Model champion? The highest finishing of the four contenders will be the 2025 Seekonk Speedway Late Model champion in the 40-lap contest.

The Pro Stock Championship 4 includes four former track champions - but not all in the Pro Stocks. Eight-time champion Dave Darling won last week to lock up his spot in the 50-lap season-finale, looking to capture the elusive ninth drivers championship. Both Rick Martin (Sport Trucks) and Darling have the opportunity to win their ninth drivers titles on Saturday night. Darling didn’t plan on running full-time when the season started, but now, the No. 52 team has a chance to add another historic number to their resume. Darling is joined by defending Pro Stock champion Dylan Estrella, who looks for back-to-back crowns. Estrella captured victory in the first race of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup a few weeks ago, showing he isn’t going down without a fight. He didn’t have dominant speed early in last season’s finale, but when it mattered most, Estrella was there and ready to challenge, and it paid off. The former Late Model champion looks for his fifth track title - looking to add to his Pro Stock, two Late Model and former Youth Racing crowns. Jacob Burns is a former Legends Cars champion, looking to win both the Pro Stock and Legends Cars titles on championship weekend at Seekonk Speedway. The Rookie of the Year in the Pro Stocks captured multiple wins, and “Rowdy” looks to capture a championship to bookend an impressive first season. The final member of the Championship 4 in the Pro Stocks is Bobby Pelland III. The driver of the No. 12 has been in Championship 4 many times since the playoff format was put in place, and knows what to expect. He’s been leading in the final laps before, and come up just short. Is this the year he adds a Pro Stock championship to his resume, which also includes a Late Model crown? The highest finishing of the four contenders will be the 2025 Seekonk Speedway Pro Stock champion.

The 2025 Sportsman championship will come down to the four drivers that have been the class of the field much of the season. All four of them have won almost all of the races, and are worthy of the crown - but it will all come down to the 35-lap season-finale. Colby Lambert, Adam Pettey, Jeremy Lambert and Doug Benoit will be racing for it. Colby Lambert had the most impressive regular season, and if it wasn’t for one bad night, would have been comfortably the regular season champion, although he still earned the bonus points for winning it. Both Lambert brothers are former Fast Friday Pure Stock champions, looking to capture their first Sportsman crown. Colby has been among the top contenders the last two years, and is certainly worthy of the title. Jeremy has also been impressive in 2025, posting many consistent runs. Although he didn’t win a race, Jeremy would love to do it on the final night, when it matters most. Benoit had a tough first week of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup, but followed it up with a rocket ship in week two, winning the race and locking himself into the Championship 4. The former Pure Stock Fast Friday champion himself, Benoit looks to capture the gold on NASCAR Saturday in the No. 12. And the other contender… how can you forget defending Sportsman champion Adam Pettey? A successful season comes down to this for Pettey, who looks to become a back-to-back champion behind the wheel of the No. 57 machine. Pettey has been fast all year, and when it matters most, he will definitely be a player in looking for another championship. The highest finishing of the four contenders will be the 2025 Seekonk Speedway Sportsman champion.
