FAST FRIDAY SEASON OPENS MAY 30 AT SEEKONK SPEEDWAY

SEEKONK, Mass. — Seekonk Speedway's 80th season of short-track racing continues this Friday night with the opening of the Fast Friday season.

All of the Friday night action begins at 7 p.m.

On Fast Friday, the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits and Outlaws, Seekonk’s youngest divisions of racers, open their new season. The Bandit field is guaranteed a first-time champion, with names like Landon Solomito, Elias Dib, Carl Satterlund Jr and others ones to watch in Seekonk’s youngest division. The Outlaws, a little bit older competitors, are also guaranteed a first-time division champion - but there is a former Bandit champion in the field. Look out for David Bernier, the defending Bandit champion, to be a threat. Other names to watch in the Outlaws include Luka Dib, Ryder Aguiar, Mason Silva, Mike Hanafin and more.

The Sport 4 division will also open their season with 25 laps. Reigning champion Justin Leduc, and Crystal Murray, who won the two titles prior, have both moved on. This means the championship battle in this division will also welcome someone new to the top. Names to watch in the Sport 4 class include Richie Johnson, Tyler Duhancik, David Westgate, Matt Pion, Henry Lavallee and others. Westgate is a former champion, but many years ago.

The Helger’s Pure Stocks field were chasing Ethan Souza and Brent Robidoux for much of last season, but when it came time to crown the champion, it was Robidoux coming out on top. Both will be back in 2025 - to contest against names like Danny Massa, Jared Cordeiro, Mike Henriques, Bobby Bettencourt III, rookie contender and former Sport 4 champion Crystal Murray and others.

In the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars, Seekonk’s top Fast Friday division, Richie Helger Jr. enters the year looking for back-to-back titles. He will have his work cut out for him to accomplish the task, racing against names like Jacob “Rowdy” Burns, who picked up two Pro Stock wins in his first three career races early in this season and is a former Legends Cars champion. Look out for Leduc, moving up from the Sport 4 class, along with names like Brody Wakefield, Brenden LaBelle, Mason Tessier, Ryan Vanasse Jr., Chase Silvia, Dylan Calabro, Ayla Martin and more in the Legends Cars.

Fast Friday racing begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 30. Tickets for Fast Friday events are $12 per person in advance or $14 at the gate on race day. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media.
