SEEKONK, Mass. — Landon Solomito continues to show he is going to be one of the ones to beat in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits at Seekonk Speedway.

Friday night, in the opener of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup, Solomito added yet another win to his 2025 season, capturing the checkered flag.

Solomito started fifth and quickly worked his way to the front. In the final laps, he had to hold off Carl Satterlund Jr to pick up his fifth victory of the year. Satterlund, who was the most consistent driver in the regular season, came up just one spot short of his first career win yet again, finishing second.

Jace Chaber was third, followed by Landon Heim and Brooke Meyer. Mya Adams, Mackenzie Farpellha, James Goode and Elias Dib finished the field.

After the first race of the playoffs, Satterlund, with the help of his three bonus points, leads the playoff standings with eight points. Solomito is second with six, followed by Chaber with four, Heim with three, Meyer with two and Dib with one.

The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits will be back on track on Friday, September 12, for the second round of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media.
